[Qgis-user] problem (bug ?) with Split Features
Hi, I've a problem with Split Features ... You can split features using the Split Features icon on the toolbar. Just draw a line across the feature, you want to split. But when you use this function to a location, it splits the polyline at each intersections on the polyline and you get a lot of polylines and not 2 as you want ... Is there any solution ? Re: [Qgis-user] MRsid/ ECW
Hi, For ecw files, you can use The windows installer with GRASS http://kcubeconsulting.com/download.php 1. Download Microsoft C Runtime Libraries http://www.kcubeconsulting.com/download/vcredist_x86.exe and install the runtime libraries 2. Download the Quantum GIS installer and follow the on screen instructions 3. Copy the 4 dll for ecw in c:\windows\system32 (NCSEcw.dll, NCSUtil.dll, NCSEcwC.dll, NCScnet.dll from Earth Resource Mapping/ECW SDK/bin) It works on WinXP : I've tested it on a new computer Good luck JC Le 03/08/2010 17:44, Doug Lane a écrit : I am reposting this from the forums since I haven't gotten anything yet, and am still not sure what I have done wrong Ok so I have attempted to follow the directions in the release for the ecw/mrsid install of Qgis 1.5. I registered, and have refreshed, but version 3.3 is no longer available, and I am not sure if 4.1 is released yet, I am not getting any download option I can download everything else on the site Hopefully I am missing something simple, all of the local imagery is MRsid, so this is a big component for me... and Yes I did add the two gdal files on osgeow installer... Re: [Qgis-user] QGIS and ECW and MrSid formats
Hi, ... Not only in Spain, in France, IGN is working with ecw, and all orthophotos are in ecw. It's really a major drawback ! JC Agustin Lobo a écrit : Hi! Could we clarify the situation for ecw and Mrsid formats in QGIS? (and perhaps put a note somewhere in the qgis web pages). I think that not being able to read these formats is a major drawback in practice. At least in Spain, a lot of public available raster layers are in these formats. Also, for example, the imagery at https://zulu.ssc.nasa.gov/mrsid/ (I know the original landsat images for those are available in not compressed formats, but that site is very convenient for many people) If there is a compiled version of gdal including support for these formats, why QGIS cannot? In any case, is there any workaround so that users can get to have ecw/Mrsid support out of their compiled version? Perhaps through a plugin? I really think that the final QGIS1.0 should be able to read in those formats, somehow. This is probably seen as a minor concern for developers, but a significant problem for users.
