IMHO doing a more generic STAC browser plugin, the actual one is too tight to planetary compùter microsoft STAC api (mainly due to different auth procedures depending on stac endpoint)... because hard to contribute to actual stac plugin due to work overhead of the author (we have PR since months), would make sense to start from scratch with an more open architecture. IMHO STAC catalogs are so important that a generic plugin can't be stacked to a single provider only. so much time passed when we wrote all the infrastructure and for what I remember when we designed the answer is NO... a new auth method is by design not accessible to python API. This for security reasons. you can create it in C++ and load it dynamically adding it's shared object with other methods. No idea if there where recorded material but probably some tutorial... you can start from there. I remember also training by Alessandro Pasotti about do the first commit. Hi Fabian this is a english speaking mailing list! btw if you need latest stuffs you shouldn't use redhat that is a conservative (certified oriented) distribution. BUT you can override the problem running qgis ina docker container. RedHat should have docker... then just do: docker pull qgis:qgis:latest (or whatever version). Tha fact that qgis on docker is based on ubuntu does not means that it does not work on redhat... ubuntu is only the container context in which qgis is running. you should always use quir.uri(False) otherwise the credentail wil be
expanded in the uri string. Usually you should add authId in the uri string
ot the layer that is the ID used to point to the QGIS AuthDB. credenial
(piointed by the authId) will be managed (depending on auth mode)
trasparently and safely by the data provider.
about documentation... the AuthManager singleton has been moved slowly to
QgsApplication (slower that other signleton) that's the reason the
documentation has been not updated accordingly, thank to spot it... can you
open a documentation issue for that? similar for extra brackets... I ask
you to do it, just because I do not have a documentation setup in thi
smmeont to update it directly... you can freely assign to me the
documentation issue.
about the issue you have with GetCapabilities, probably you have to use the
opportune QByteArray to QString conversion that involve codec just my 2c

non so a quali plugin fate riferimento... nel caso pensiate a rendere piu' robusto legalmente QAD, sappiate che avreste l¡appoggio della comunita' spagnola e di algune imprese. il fatto che una azienda si prenda carico di un crouwdfunding mi sembra una buona prospettiva. Di fatto non ci sono stati dubbi enll¡attivare il crowdfunding in ambito spagnolo su QAD proprio perche' non dovrebbe essere un lavoro volontario della asociazione, ma un lavoro di chi usa plugin di questo tipo a livello professionale. Anche noi abbiamo fatto parziali valutazioni sulla fattibilita'di crouwdfunding... ma lo habbiam fatto chiendendo a chi avesse gia' esperienza con questo (nel conteso qgis) e la conclusione e' che o ti appoggi a una piattaforma di gestione o l'autogestione (anche legale oltre che meramente logistica) di star dietro ai pagamenti quando il finanziamento va a buon fine ha un costo di tempo (e sbattimento) notevole spesso sottovalutato ( come vendo anceh in questo thread). morale... il 3% e' una ottima tariffa. Hi Tony the only free (as speach) solutions are WhiteBox (integrated in Processign via provider plugin but not so wide community) and Fusion (only for Win)... LAStools better integrated in QGIS has only some tools available with free licence. as correctly said PDAL by Andreas is not yet well supported in QGIS... I did PDALTools plugin to integrate run of pdal pipelines ins a QGIS/Processing modeler. Probably timing was not the correct one, because I supposed to have contribution a new models and pipelines to this provider. Probably I'll have more chances to work on it next months. BTW if you need support to try to use PDAL in a QGIS processign context, please write me, or in IRC channel, or this dev list or opening issues to PDALTools. Other than this, you can use PDAL without using QGIS at all to create a DEM. The best way to have QGIS and PDAL integrated is using the Anaconda packaging. So, the interface and list of functionality is intentionally limited e.g. there is no node editor or QGI message logs. Comparable app is probably Fulcrum. -Input has its built in functionality to synchronise data over cloud. So multiple people can edit the same project. Transferring data back and forth and collaborative work is very common in field data collection. Maybe the author should review that too. poi far tutto da dentro pdal senza passare da altri backend via qgis o sia... pdal ti permette di rasterizzare alla risoluzione e algoritmo di interpolazioen che desideri (writers.gdal)... ha anche dei filtri morfologici implementati direttametne o usabili via altri backend. PMF e SPMF son gia' abbastanza potenti trovando gli opportuni parametri. se poi il raster e' nero... sciuro che la palette non sia scalata? I've reintroduced the map calculator in the new processing infrastructure... I created tests and I extensively tested with the help of other users, but always is possible to hit a bug! I suppose you can't share project and db connection, so you need to give us steps to replicate the issue starting from a clean qgis profile. remember that side effects can be introduced by plugins that are not using correctly the qgis authentication infrastructure (if you use it). How do you use the authentication? saving pwd int he project or in the qgis auth infrastructure that need use of a master password? you can get the photo used in the web page: https://github.com/qgises/user_conf_2019_homepage/blob/master/assets/img/backgrounds/coruna.jpg for sure the Municipality has a press release set of images, but here in spain will be holidays for the rest of the week for the Constriturion celebration... so I think will be hard to have feedback from them. p.s.
