hai provato a vedere lo strumento di debugging di QGIS per capire cosa 
di preciso rallenta il caricamento?

Re: [Qgis-user] DataPlotly pie charts are really small in a layout

Hi Paul,

the plot container in the print layout is slightly different from the 
one of the main QGIS UI, you can also experience some differences 
between the font size.


Hopefully in the future with QtWebEngine the situation will change ;)

What you can try, even if not the best solution, it to create the plot 
in the main DataPlotly UI, go to the HTML tab and copy/paste the code 
into a HTML frame in the print layout.

Gli utenti di QGIS Italia hanno discusso sulla recente proposta di 
creazione di un *plugin marketplace* di QGIS, ovvero la possibilità per 
uno sviluppatore di far pagare un plugin per il suo utilizzo.


I presenti concordano sui seguenti punti:

* il *marketplace* minerebbe la credibilità di QGIS come software 
libero, con la possibilità di confondere gli utenti
* perché uno sviluppatore del core di QGIS dovrebbe continuare a 
sviluppare il core in C++ quando può distribuire un plugin a pagamento 
con le stesse funzionalità?
* possibilità di passaggio a pagamento di plugin attualmente molto 
scaricati ed utilizzati

* possibilità di moltiplicazione di plugin simili
* passaggio del free as speech al paid beer
* difficoltà nella distribuzione di plugin a pagamento in zone 
economicamente disagiate
* il pagamento potrebbe aiutare gli sviluppatori a mantenere un plugin: 
spesso gli utenti usano ma non supportano

plugin? e un corrispondente aumento di crash di QGIS?;

6. ecc...

QGIS è diffusissimo perché è facile da usare, perché è Open Source e 
perché è LIBERO;
un mercato ufficializzato di plugin legato a QGIS potrebbe essere molto 
deleterio?.


mi fermo qui e aspetto altri contributi, questo è solo un mio punto di 
vista.

una questione cosi importante, prima di essere intrapresa, direi che 
necessita delle considerazioni della comunità a tutto tondo come gli 
user group, committer, voting members etc.


Se questa questione verrà messa ai voti allora il peso di ogni singolo 
attore è molto importante.

grazie per la condivisione delle tue idee. C'è poco da essere d'accordo 
con te quando dici che il gruppo sta facendo molto poco da un po' di tempo.


Il COVID probabilmente ha fatto da catalizzatore in un momento in cui la 
comunità era già un po' ferma.


Siamo i soliti, almeno per quanto mi riguarda, praticamente da sempre :)

Quest'anno sarebbe sicuramente molto bello e utile rifare un 
incontro/hackfest/weekend in cui oltre ai soliti, riusciamo a invogliare 
altre persone.

delle nuove versioni di QGIS.
Mentre noto che il gruppo pubblico su LinkedIn [4] ormai è diventata una 
vetrina dove pubblicano solo corsi on-line, ricerca di lavoro e 
pubblicità ad aziende, mai un post solo su QGIS, ma intanto il gruppo si 
chiama QGIS Italia con tanto di logo.


spero che questa email scuota qualcuno e che si ritorni a fare gruppo.

voi scriviamo perché è maturata l'idea di organizzare un evento pubblico 
online per rilanciare la campagna #datibenecomune coinvolgendo i tanti 
soggetti, associazioni, collettivi, redazioni, centri di ricerca, che 
hanno nel tempo aderito, per dare visibilità alle molteplici motivazioni 
per cui chiediamo di "liberare" tutti i dati.


La data identificata è quella di *giovedì 8 aprile*, l'orario e le 
modalità verranno definite a seconda delle risposte e delle 
disponibilità che ci perverranno.

[QGIS-it-user] Somma progressiva valori di lunghezza

Ciao a tutti,

ho un problema che pensavo fosse banale da risolvere con le espressioni
e invece mi è sembrato molto più facile da risolvere con python.

Scenario: un layer puntuale (in SR proiettato) dove ho ricavato le
distanze fra ogni punto tramite l'espressione

length(
  make_line( geometry($currentfeature), geometry(get_feature_by_id(
@layer_name , $id +1

quello che mi aspettavo fosse più immediato è ottenere un campo con la
somma progressiva delle lunghezze, ovvero

l | cum

0   0
10  10
20  30
40  70

con python è un attimo, con le espressioni invece qualcuno ha avuto modo
di sperimentare un problema simile?

Well, the training manual has been written by many different people, so I
think that the best way for helping is:

* join the qgis_community mailing list

that's the mailing list where documentation issues are discussed
* if you are used to work with git and github, you can go inside the training
manual repository
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS-Documentation/tree/master/source/docs/training_manual,
edit the file (update them or whatever) and propose the merging of your
changes
* there are some guidelines
http://docs.qgis.org/testing/en/docs/documentation_guidelines/ you have
to follow when writing the documentation

[Qgis-user] Processing modeler input columns in algorithms

Hi all,
is it possible to add the column names of the output of an algorithm inside
a second one?

In other words:
* run an algorithm on a shapefile that has as output a csv table with many
columns
* I'd like to run a second algorithm, e.g. making a scatterplot. But i want
to choose the 2 columns needed from the output of the first algorithm.

The only way I found is to write manually the column names. In this case,
the problem is that, if the column names change, the model doesn't work
anymore.

[Qgis-user] weird behavior of SpatiaLite

Hi all,

I've noticed a strange behavior of SL (both for QGIS 2.8.1 and Master).
If I made a query of a database layer and I load it in QGIS, no problem at
all.
But when I add a column to this layer using the Field Calculator, the whole
numeric fields get messed and are transformed in NUMERIC type.

This way I cannot not use the Graduated symbology anymore (NUMERIC is not
supported by SL, but is a transformation made by QGIS).

A small example. I have 2 fields (DOUBLE) and I want to add a 3rd field as
the sum of those ones.
Field Calculator - New Field (DOUBLE) - x + y - Save - get this
error


Could not commit changes to layer media_coordinate

Errors: SUCCESS: 1 attribute(s) added.

ERROR: field with index 1 is not the same!

Provider: spatialite

Storage: SQLite database with SpatiaLite extension

expected field: name=mean_x type=double typeName=DOUBLE len=0 precision=0

retrieved field: name=mean_x type=QString typeName=NUMERIC len=0 precision=0


Close without saving and the DOUBLE fields become NUMERIC, while the 3rd
field is created (as DOUBLE) but is empty.


Am I missing something?

In the rule-based classification (vector) is it possible to use values of
another layer loaded in QGIS?

For example. Point vector and I want to display as red each feature that
has a value greater than a value stored in another point layer (or in a
table).
In the expression builder there are the fields of the active layer.

Is it possible to call the fields of other layers?

Hi guys,
I raised up this question on stackoverflow some times ago, but no answer
yet, maybe someone can help me..

[Qgis-user] problem with Openlayers plugin and master version

Hi guys,
I just updated the QGIS with the nightly repos (I'm on a debian machine)
but Openlayers plugin won't work.
After a while I have to kill the process.

Someone else has the same problem?

[Qgis-user] problem reading csv file (numbers read as strings)

Hi all,
I work with a debian machine, QGIS 2 and libreoffice 3.
I wrote a table with some field (two of them are x and y coordinates),
saved as csv and then I tried to upload it in qgis with the add delimited
text option.

Problem: numeric filed are read as strings and not as numbers and so I
cannot convert the table in a point shape (in Libreoffice numbers are read
as numbers and I can do some calculation with them).
It seems that it doesn't matter if a numeric field has a decimal part or
not, qgis does not recognize them as numbers anyway.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks for all the replies.
I'm sure that with qgis 1.8 I had no problem in importing a csv file.
Anyway, that's my current file:

As you can see there are no decimal numbers. You can find the csv file also
in attach.
Another problem: if I import a table (without coordinates and still as csv
file made in libreoffice) in the map canvas (just drag and drop it), qgis
still reads the numbers as strings (making the join option with another
shape file useless).

[Qgis-user] x coordinates field calculator

Hi all,
I have a point shape and I want to add 2 columns, lat and long.
I open the attribute table and the field calculator, then I create a new
field (x) with the option of geometry - $x.
Same for y.
The problem is that the new field involves just a few records, for the
others the value is NULL.
Why not all the records are being updated?

Ok I solved the problem..
During the updating thw first line of the file __init__.py (stored in
/usr/share/qgis/python/plugins/sextante/admintools/httplib2) from
__future__ import generators moved to the 26th line of the same file. I
really don't understand why, but after moving it back to the right place,
it seems that python (and the plugins) works correctly.

[Qgis-user] crash qgis opening project

Hi everybody,
I have 2 problems with qgis running in ubuntu 12.04:
- first, starting qgis on one desktop it start on another desktop. But that
is not a big problem
- second, opening an existing project qgis crashes saying:
access: File o directory non esistente
Errore di segmentazione (core dump creato)

I worked just yesterday night and it works.

So I tried to uninstall sextante, re-install it, and move directories (from
/usr/share/qgis/python/plugins and from /.qgis) and replace them.
What now happens is that, running qgis I have this error:


SEXTANTE

The Plugin Installer has detected an obsolete plugin which masks a newer
version shipped with this QGIS version. This is likely due to files
associated with a previous installation of QGIS. Please use the Plugin
Installer to remove that older plugin in order to unmask the newer version
shipped with this copy of QGIS.


Sextante and qgis work without problems, but I don't understand I I should
do something to solve this little problem.

I don't want peace, I want sextante!! :-)
Anyway, I tried to move the plugin from the core
(/usr/share/qgis/python/plugins), but running qgis it appears the python
error again.
I'd leave things the way they are and wait for next week.

 Same here. You now have both versions (core and external plugin). I guess
 you have re-installed 1.07, not 1.08.

 Removing the plugin from core leaves you with the working 1.0.7 in .qgis
 and no annoying message at start.
 The other way won't work: Removing the external plugin gives you the error
 message reported before.

 Off course, removing both you have peace, but no Sextante ;-)

 I don't know about the ubuntu file structure. Maybe you have another copy
 of Sextante somewhere else.

I have a problem with ORFEO in qgis 1.9 on ubuntu 12.04 with Sextante.
