[Qgis-user] grass plugin did not appear in the menu

2020-08-19 Thread Tomas Lanczos
Hello,

I'm running Ubuntu Focal and just built Qgis 3.15 from source with
Grass enabled following instructions in
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/blob/master/INSTALL.md#310-building-debian-packages.
I previously installed Grass GIS 7.8.3.
The problem I have is a missing Grass Plugin in the Plugins menu. Can
me anybody help?

Thank You in advance

Tomas

Re: [Qgis-user] is there a way to install a running well version of QGis in Xenial 16.04??

2016-10-04 Thread Tomas Lanczos
Hello, I have also problems with qgis 2.14, as well as the 2.16 versions,
esp (ubuntu xenial) ecially with the grass plugin. In 2.16 I opened a
mapset once, but next time I get the message that the .gislock is there,
the same for all the other mapsets, even the .gislock was not physically
there. When I downgraded to 2.14. it can't open the grass plugin at all.
I am using the ubuntugis repositories, they are present also
/etc/apt/sources.list.d.

Regards

Tomas

2015-06-01 Thread Tomas Lanczos
Hello everybody,

I installed the QGIS 2.9 from the AUR repository
(https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/qgis-git/) into the Manjaro box.
The compilation and installation went without

any problem, but when I start, I got the error message as below. The
same problem I had with the versions 2.6 and 2.8. Does somebody know
the solution for this
problem?

Many thanks in advance

Tomas

Re: [Qgis-user] two problems

2014-08-12 Thread Tomas Lanczos
Hello Don,

I installed the sip for python3 and python2 as well. The qgis is installed
against python2, as it is clen also from the configure options (see my
first post in this thread). When I start the qgis within a terminal, the
olny message I get is the following:

(qgis:21601): Gtk-WARNING **: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path:
"thinice",
Warning: loading of qt translation failed

Thank You for Your quick answer Donovan,

tha grass error was solved,
the installation proceed wtithout any problem after removing the
#-DWITH_MAPSERVER=TRUE \
line from the PKGBUILD script. I really don't know what was wrong with it
...

the sip error remains. Do You think that it should help reinstall the sip?

[Qgis-user] two problems

2014-08-06 Thread Tomas Lanczos
Hello everybody.

I'd like to install qgis 2.4 on my Manjaro box, using the AUR (Arch linux)
repository - https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/qgis/
In fact, it is a compilation process, with a source cod downloaded from
git://github.com/qgis/QGIS.git#branch=release-2_4

PROBLEM NO. 1

if I compile it without grass support, the compilation/installation process
is going out without problem, but after starting qgis, I got the following
error message:

ouldn't load SIP module.
Python support will be disabled.

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "", line 1, in
ImportError: No module named sip

Python version:
2.7.8 (default, Jul 1 2014, 17:30:21)
[GCC 4.9.0 20140604 (prerelease)]

QGIS version:
2.4.0-Chugiak 'Chugiak', ed14cf3

Python path:
['/usr/share/qgis/python', u'/home/tomas/.qgis2/python',
u'/home/tomas/.qgis2/python/plugins', '/usr/share/qgis/python/plugins',
'/home/tomas', '/usr/share/qgis/python', '/usr/local/lib/python27.zip',
'/usr/local/lib/python2.7', '/usr/local/lib/python2.7/plat-linux2',
'/usr/local/lib/python2.7/lib-tk', '/usr/local/lib/python2.7/lib-old',
'/usr/local/lib/python2.7/lib-dynload',
'/usr/local/lib/python2.7/site-packages']

PROBLEM No.2

It is essential for me to use qgis with grass support, so I tried to
compile qgis with the following options:

 cmake ../ \
-DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release \
-DCMAKE_SKIP_RPATH=ON \
-DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr \
-DENABLE_TESTS=OFF \
-DQGIS_MANUAL_SUBDIR=share/man \
-DPYTHON_EXECUTABLE=/usr/bin/python2 \
-DPYTHON_LIBRARY=/usr/lib/libpython2.7.so \
-DPYTHON_INCLUDE_PATH=/usr/include/python2.7 \
-DPYTHON_SITE_PACKAGES_DIR=/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages \
-DQT_QMAKE_EXECUTABLE=/usr/bin/qmake-qt4 \
-DWITH_INTERNAL_QWTPOLAR=OFF \
-DWITH_INTERNAL_SPATIALITE=OFF \
#-DWITH_MAPSERVER=TRUE \
-DGRASS_PREFIX=/opt/grass64 \
#-DWITH_GLOBE=TRUE \

In this case I'm getting this errormessage after the configuring process:

-- Configuring done
-- Generating done
-- Build files have been written to: /home/tomas/builds/qgis/src/qgis/build

Aborting...

The strange thing is that, the "/opt/grass64" directory is existing, but it
can't locate it.

Many thanks in advance for any feedback

Re: [Qgis-user] DEM : Point cloud DEM fusion?

2013-12-04 Thread Tomas Lanczos

[Qgis-user] Grass plugin problem does not load in Fedora 17

2013-02-16 Thread Tomas Lanczos
I have a strange problem. I compiled grass6.4.SVN and also qgis 1.8 (tried
the same with 1.9) from source in Fedora 17. Everything is working
smoothly, except the grass plugin is not loaded, or at least is not visible
in the plugin manager menu. I introduced the grass path correctly for the
configuring and I also wrote the grass library into the qgis.conf file
(also did the ldconfig), but still does not work.

I will be grateful for any ideas or proposals, than You in advance

Tomas
