Re: [Qgis-user] Removal of overlap geometries within the same layer - merge to largest neighbor polygon

2023-07-25 Thread Wouter Impens via QGIS-User
Hi Andreas,

You could do a ' self-intersect' of the polygon layer, calculate the area,
select polygons under specific area (assuming they're small overlaps) and
run the ' eliminate selected polygons' tool.
The GRASS tool v.clean offers some solutions too.

Re: [Qgis-user] Bulk export atlas not working

2021-12-20 Thread Wouter Impens
Hi Dieter,

You can export an atlas to a single pdf, with multiple pages. The QGIS
function in the layout is working fine but when I try to automate the
process, There's only a pdf with the last page. By watching the process, I
can see that all the pages are made but they overwrite themselves.
The output is configured like this:
[image: image.png]
The automatisation with the 'maps printer plugin' used to work fine, It's
not clear to me why it is not working now.

Hi Hannes,

Thanks for your answer.
The names are unique. But the problem is not that one atlas layout is
overwriting another, they're overwriting themselves. Ik only get the last
page of each atlas.
While the atlas is exporting, I can see in the windows explorer that a file
is made and then reset to 0, only the last atlas page is kept.

[Qgis-user] Bulk export atlas not working

2021-12-18 Thread Wouter Impens
Dear list,

When using the ‘maps printer’ plugin for a bunch of atlas layouts, the
atlas pages are constantly overwritten by the next page, so I end up with
only the last page in the atlas layout.

I used this before and it was working perfectly.

I also tried with the following script:

import qgis.core

layouts_list = QgsProject.instance().layoutManager().printLayouts()

for layout in layouts_list:

QgsLayoutExporter.exportToPdfs(layout.atlas(),

'C:\\Users\\d08909\\Documents\\01_WERKMAP\\03_EXPORT\\',

QgsLayoutExporter.PdfExportSettings())

But it’s giving me the same result.

Manually exporting the altlas layouts one by one is no problem.

I’m using QGIS 3.16.14 on windows.

Any help is apreciated!

Kind regards,

Wouter Impens

[Qgis-user] transformation problems

2021-01-24 Thread Wouter Impens
Dear list,

I 'm getting odd behavior concerning transformations in QGIS

When I add a layer I get the error message 'No transformation available
between x (CRS of the layer) and custom CRS'
But there is no custom CRS, it looks like QGIS adds an empty one (I can
find it in settings>transformations). But if I delete that one, it makes no
difference.
If I add a layer with another CRS than the first one (like OSM), I get the
error once again and the layer CRS is indeed not transformed and there's no
background OSM.

I'm using QGIS 3.16.3 on Ubuntu 20.04.1

Any help is appreciated!

Hi Maria,

I recently started as a Linux newbie on Ubuntu 20.04 and I managed to

Hi! Thanks for incluiding me.

I changed from Ubuntu 18.04 to Ubuntu 20.04, so I automaticly lost the

erase old packages, tryed to clean caché, tryed commands like
"autoremove", "autoclean", "sudo apt-get -f install' and i followed
all the suggested steps from the qgis original tutorial but nothing
worked!

Its there any other suggestions about how to install qgis? this
vertion is actually working?  I even tryed to install qgis copying
from the terminal to the repository both latest versions
(https//:qgis.org/ubuntu  and

Please, anything will help, i'm in the middle of my final work to get

B is just, get back to Ubuntu 18, but its possible that that doesnt
work easily anyway.

Thanks for your atention!

Hi Willem,

You could calculate this using a python script.

If you like, I could send you some code examples how to make a new field,
use expressions, etc. in python.

Re: [Qgis-user] pyQGIS - set attributes by expression

2019-02-07 Thread Wouter Impens
Thanks for the help Nyall, but I still don't get any result.
I'll put the whole script here, maybe I'm doing something wrong on another
level (I'm rather new in coding):

from PyQt5.QtCore import *
from qgis.core import *

canvas = qgis.utils.iface.mapCanvas()
my_layers = canvas.layers()

for a_layer in my_layers:
a_layer.startEditing()
a_layer.addAttribute (QgsField('perc_nr', QVariant.String))
a_layer.commitChanges()

my_features = a_layer.getFeatures()
an_expr = QgsExpression('''to_string(  to_int( substr(  "CAPAKEY" , 7,
4)))+' ' +  CASE WHEN substr(  "CAPAKEY" , 14, 1) = '_'  THEN '' else
lower(substr(  "CAPAKEY" , 14, 1)) END + ' ' +  CASE WHEN to_int( substr(
"CAPAKEY" , 15, 3)) = '0'  THEN ''  else  to_string(  to_int( substr(
"CAPAKEY" , 15, 3)))  END  + ' ' +  CASE WHEN to_int( substr(  "CAPAKEY" ,
12, 2)) = '0'   THEN '' else '/' + to_string( to_int( substr(  "CAPAKEY" ,
12, 2))) END''')
context = QgsExpressionContext()
for a_feat in my_features:
my_index = a_feat.fieldNameIndex('perc_nr')
context.setFeature(a_feat)
value = an_expr.evaluate(context)
a_feat.setAttribute(my_index, value)

a_layer.commitChanges()

The first part - ading the attribute - works fine, but filling in the
fields don't give any result (nor an error either).
I'm working in QGIS 3.

Thanks!
Wouter

[Qgis-user] pyQGIS - set attributes by expression

2019-02-05 Thread Wouter Impens
Hi,

Hope anyone can help me with this:

I'm trying to iterate over the fields of a vector layer (using the index)
and fill in the values by an expression

 my_features = a_layer.getFeatures()
for a_feat in my_features:
mijn_index = a_feat.fieldNameIndex('perc_nr')
value = an_expr
 a_feat.setAttribute(mijn_index, value)

a_layer.commitChanges()

I don't get an error but nothing is filled in. I evaluated the expression
and it's true. It also works in the field calculator.

Anyone an idea?

Hi Rutger,

I don't know if it's the most efficient way, but I would import the image
rather as a raster and use de Gdal georeferencer plugin to put it in the
right place.
Then you could use de raster to polygon tool to change into a shapefile.

Hope this helps

I think I’m looking for a Vector Affine Transformation plugin or menu but
