Re: [Qgis-user] Adding virtual X & Y columns to a QGIS attribute form

2024-03-25 Thread Gordon Wakelin-King via QGIS-User
I suggest you will need to edit your form to include the new fields. The
generic form view of the attribute table expands itself to include newly
created fields, so it is possible, but I think that trick will be in QT
Designer not is QGIS.

Subject: [Qgis-user] Adding virtual X & Y columns to a QGIS attribute form

Hi,

I have created an attribute form for a QGIS layer.

I want to add two fields to the form: the X & Y values of a point geometry
column.

I can't find any way to do this - if I don't use the form, it is easy to add
the virtual columns as expressions ($x & $y) in the table view, but I want
these in the form view, not the table view.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Once you have created the virtual field, you can add them to your form. Open
form properties,go to form, choose drag and drop form designer, add the
available attributes from left hand panel to middle panel. Right hand panel is
for form widget settings.

Hope that helps
