Re: [Qgis-user] FOSS4G 2010 and QGIS

2010-09-13 Thread Agustin Lobo
Hi!

Just got news from the organizers regarding the list of registered people
to "W-09: Quantum GIS and PostGIS: Solving Spatial Problems and
Creating Web-Based Analysis Tools".
They are reluctant to release the list because of the Spanish law of
personal data protection, but they will
forward a message made by the QGIS community. Who can take care of
this? Paolo? In any case, I would like the
draft being sent to the list first so that we can reach a consensus.
ok?

Yes you are right, I have to take that back. It was the response I got from
one person at the Workshop day, but later (after writing my message) I got
from the main organisers at the registration desk the refund offer.

I did see Agustins presentation and het did QGIS proud!

Hi!
I'm trying to get the list from the organizers.
I disagree they were taking it in such a way:
"(sorry, cant do anything about it,
bye-bye’, while we did pay 175 for the workshops...)"
They offered all of us either another workshop or refunding. It's true
though that they
should have asked the QGIS community about this person prior to take a
commitment, but it seems that he
was actually taking the initiative and the organizers can only be
blamed of too much good faith.

BTW, my presentation involved quite a bit of "qgising"

Do you know any other presentation involving QGIS?

The benchmarking of QGIS Map Server is another one.
