Emily,
You should be able to filter your data by county. Once the filter is in
place you could look at attribute data to see all the data.

Can you tell us what you are trying to accomplish so we can help with a
better answer?

I am currently using QGIS version 2.16.3 and I wanted to know how can I extract 
specific county location data from a US county shape file I downloaded from the
