Sean, Ignore my first line, it’s a typo. I got dragged away to something else, came back to this and forgot to read the email before I sent it. Re: [Qgis-user] How to calculate surface volume from UAV DEM tif files in QGIS
Hi Sean, In the GRASS toolbox you can find some tools to handle volumes. I found this post: https://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/168035/calculate-volume-over-sloped-ground-in-grass-gis Hope it helps. Hi, I imagine you are looking for the area? You can make a polygon and measure the area of a shape. https://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/23355/calculating-polygon-areas-in-qgis You can also use the distance measure tool in the toolbar and use the area option. [Qgis-user] How to calculate surface volume from UAV DEM tif files in QGIS
Is it possible to calculate surface volume from aerial photographs (orthomosaic maps in DEM tif file format) in QGIS? Everything I have found on the internet refers to using satellite images. I did find one article on generating surface volume from drone imagery but is difficult to understand as it is missing some steps and/or the steps aren't clear and do not render the same results from step to step even though I follow the steps to the letter.
