Re: [Qgis-user] QGIS Server Process Crash
Thank you for responding. I have notified my customer of the situation with the Windows version of QGIS Server, so that they can make their decision as to what to do. Unfortunately, while it may be "supported" platform, it's not *well* supported. There's severe known issues running server under Windows which have been unaddressed for a long time, eg http://hub.qgis.org/issues/13293. My suggestion - either Alessandro or the team at Oslandia are the most knowledgeable about QGIS server setup and operation. I'd engage them for this project and sponsor fixes through them for any blocking blocking bugs in the QGIS server operation on Windows. Re: [Qgis-user] QGIS Server Process Crash
The installation can only be on Microsoft Windows Server. AFAIK it is a supported platform. The supplied information is all that we can find that describes the error. The Apache and QGIS error logs show nothing before the process crash. The QGIS Projects are all OK when they are used in QGIS Desktop: no crash occurs. The crashing has consistently occurred in both 2.14 LTR 32bit and 2.18.4 64bit. The crashing has stopped the application from going live. If anyone can point to some "standard" settings or things that need to be checked, please supply. Re: [Qgis-user] QGIS Server Process Crash
Hi, I'm afraid the information you sent are not very useful to do any debugging. AFAIK most of the server development work takes place on Linux (or Mac), if you could reproduce the crash on Linux (or Mac) and file a bug report with all information to reproduce it, your chances to have somebody look at it would probably increase. Sorry if this is not of great help. Folks, if I have posted in the wrong place, please let me know. Should I delete this post and re-post it in the developer forum/discussion list? regards Simon -- View this message in context: http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/QGIS-Server-Process-Crash-tp5314879p5315238.html Sent from the QGIS - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org List info: https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user Unsubscribe: https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user
[Qgis-user] QGIS Server Process Crash
QGIS Serverites, Currently running QGIS Server 2.18.3 64bit on Virtual Machine. Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard. Intel (R) Xeon (R) CPYU E5-2640 v4 @2.40GHa Installed memory (RAM) 32GB Total disk space 149.36GB Previously we were running 2.14 LTS 32 bit. We are trying to serve a number of project files. The source of the data is Oracle with some imagery. Ever since testing commenced (over 6 months ago), we have not been able to stabilize QGIS Server. We have reviewed all our Oracle data and ensured that all QGIS settings ensured fast access. We continue to get processes failing, particularly as we add more than one user to the system. These process crashes kill the WMS data being returned to the client. The Windows Application Event Logs show entries such as the following (most common): Faulting application name: qgis_mapserv.fcgi.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x58b10ebf Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 6.3.9600.18340, time stamp: 0x57366075 Exception code: 0xc005 Fault offset: 0x8a5c Faulting process id: 0xf0c Faulting application start time: 0x01d2a80c716a80ed Faulting application path: E:\OSGeo4W64\apps\qgis\bin\qgis_mapserv.fcgi.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\KERNELBASE.dll Report Id: 3413c7f7-1407-11e7-80d1-001dd8b71c06 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Other Exception codes include: Exception code: 0xc005 Fault offset: 0x0003c5f0 Exception code: 0xc005 Fault offset: 0x2930 We are tearing our hair out trying to work out why we cannot stabilize QGIS Server. Any help, pointers, coupled with much patience would be appreciated. regards Simon Greener Tasmania Australia -- View this message in context: http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/QGIS-Server-Process-Crash-tp5314879.html Sent from the QGIS - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org List info: https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user Unsubscribe: https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user
