Re: [Qgis-user] Uninstalling QGIS

2023-06-13 Thread Richard McDonnell via QGIS-User
My Steps...

1)Use the OSGeo4W Installer to uninstall everything
2)Delete the OSGeo4w Folder
3) Delete the QGIS folders in C:\Users\...SomeUserName...\AppData\Roaming\QGIS

Do a restart of the computer, which should clear most of the stuff.
Then you can do a fresh Install if you require.
Kind Regards,

Richard

[Qgis-user] Uninstalling QGIS

2023-06-13 Thread Randal Hale via QGIS-User

Not that I'm going to

.but I was asked if there is an official "uninstall guide". A friend
is working through some issues and basically wants to remove every bit
of QGIS (folders/registry) so it can be reinstalled. It's all in the
name of trying to fix some oddball problems on windows 10 and not
reinstall windows 10.

[Qgis-user] Uninstalling QGIS standalone using SCCM

2015-05-11 Thread McDonaldR
Hello List

I'd like to uninstall QGIS standalone using Microsoft's System Centre
Configuration Manager (SCCM). We currently push QGIS out to users using SCCM
and it installs just fine. However, when coming to uninstalling QGIS, SCCM
takes a copy of Uninstall-QGIS.exe, puts it in a temporary folder, runs it and
it very promptly and efficiently deletes the temporary folder leaving the QGIS
installation intact.

What is the order of events when Uninstall-QGIS.exe is run? Does it call the
preremove.bat file first and then finally delete the C:\Program Files\QGIS
Version\ directory?

Anyone had any experience of using SCCM with QGIS for install and uninstall?

Thanks in advance!

Ross
