Re: [Qgis-user] Countour Plugin
Hi all, there is the "GdalTools settings" item in the Raster menu. Using it you can set the GDAL executables path. Have you tried it? 1. find in your OS where the gdal binaries were installed 2. set that path using the *GdalTools settings* window 3. try again to execute the command Cheers. 2010/7/1 Micha Silver > On 01/07/2010 17:13, Giuseppe Sucameli wrote: > > Hi Herman, > > maybe you miss the gdal_contour executable. > What your OS and QGis version? > > I might mention that Herman, in a private mail, said he was using MAC OS. > I recall an exchange on the list a few months back about paths on MAC: > > http://www.mail-archive.com/qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org/msg06257.html > > The OP might be having the same problem... > > > To use the tools in the raster menu you have to install the following > libraries: > - on Windows (osgeo4w) install the *gdal16 *and* gdal16-python* > libs from the osgeo4w setup > - on Linux install the *gdal-bin* and *python-gdal* libs from your > package manager. > > Cheers. > > On Thu, Jul 1, 2010 at 1:01 PM, herman palaquium wrote: > >> hi all >> i try to make plugin from menu RASTER > COUNTOUR >> and than an error message like this >> >> "The process failed to start. To use the tools in the raster menu you have to install the following libraries: - on Windows (osgeo4w) install the *gdal16 *and* gdal16-python* libs from the osgeo4w setup - on Linux install the *gdal-bin* and *python-gdal* libs from your package manager.
