Re: [Qgis-user] Countour Plugin

2010-07-01 Thread Giuseppe Sucameli
Hi all,

there is the "GdalTools settings" item in the Raster menu.
Using it you can set the GDAL executables path.
Have you tried it?

1. find in your OS where the gdal binaries were installed
2. set that path using the *GdalTools settings* window
3. try again to execute the command

Cheers.

What your OS and QGis version?

I might mention that Herman, in  a private mail, said he was using MAC
OS.
I recall an exchange on the list a few months back about paths on MAC:

The OP might be having the same problem...

To use the tools in the raster menu you have to install the following
libraries:
- on Windows (osgeo4w) install the gdal16 and gdal16-python

libs from the osgeo4w setup
- on Linux install the gdal-bin and python-gdal libs
from your
package manager.

Cheers.

Hi Herman,

maybe you miss the gdal_contour executable.
What your OS and QGis version?

To use the tools in the raster menu you have to install the following
libraries:
- on Windows (osgeo4w) install the *gdal16 *and* gdal16-python*
libs from the osgeo4w setup
- on Linux install the *gdal-bin* and *python-gdal* libs from your
package manager.

Cheers.

my plugin nothing menu countour why,

You need to install the GDALTools plugin.
When this plugin is activated, you will have an additional menu
"Raster". Under Raster is the Contour tool.

If you're referring to creating an line shapefile of elevation
contours, then the best is the GDALTools "Contour"  tool. Just load the
GDALTools plugin, and in the Raster menu you'll find Contour.
