Matt Boyd suggested saving images and loading them for these specific zoomlevels - could anyone tell me how to go about that (and is it allowed under the Google terms)? Well, simply don't use them if they don't like it ;-) Bing and Openstreetmap are not so neurotic about using their services. For digitizing, you can do it in Google Earth without misplacement, save it as kml, and import that into QGIS. I can't remember the exact details but Google images only work at certain zoom levels for me. I load a google image layer and then set the zoom level to whatever it was I stumbled across that works then only zoom using the mouse wheel. I did ask about it a few years ago, the answer is probably in the archives. I needed to be able to zoom in to more specific areas so I was saving images and loading those for "unsupported" (by google) zoom levels. regards Matt ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user
