[Qgis-user] grass tools: v.in.ogr doesn't import attribute table
Hey all,
I'm having trouble importing shp -> grass with qgis 0.9.1 on windows
(http://download.qgis.org/qgis/win32/qgis_setup0.9.1.18_12_2007.exe)
The spatial data comes in fine but the attribute table does not
("Cannot select attributes from table..." and attribute table only
shows cat). I get this behavior with the GUI tool as well as the
shell:
v.in.ogr -o dsn=C:\\GIS\\SB0363\\train1_utm.shp output=train1
layer=train1_utm min_area=0.0001 type=boundary snap=-1
The equivalent command and the exact same shapefile work fine on Linux.
Any ideas on where I'm going wrong here?

I have to manually add them by clicking on connect and selecting the appropriate table. Dear list members, in order to test QGIS for our purposes we installed it on various machines running Linux (Suse 10.3) and Windows (XP). On the Windows machine and on Linux, when compiling from source everything works fine and fast. However, on one machine (Laptop) where we installed QGIS from Suse 10.3 .rpm we encountered massive performance problemes when it comes to visualization of shapefiles (other formats we didn't test yet). We've no clue if it is an rpm-problem or a hardware problem (maybe the graphic card?)
