Hi Rich,

What are example prices being asked?

Has anyone noticed the price of QL books on ebay recently - who are
these people kidding (or maybe I haven't been asking enough at £2.99
a book!)

Have a look at:

Now the mistake. On the first day of the Just Words! QL News page there was a
glaring error in the headline of the second news item. I quickly corrected it
the second day. Can anyone tell me what it was?

OUCH! £82.13 for a QL book. When you read the small print, it's an ex
library book as well. Someone is taking the p*ss!

It seems everyone may be taking the p*ss:

3 used copies of the same book, £55.60, £79.43 or £80.23 - take your pick.

Or get it from Rich for £4.00 ;-)

Ok, I fell for it! Have you read the blurb beneath the book description,
basically:

we rescue books from going to landfill and sell them at great prices
so that you can never not afford to have a book.

Hmm, we get the for free and flog them for an extortionate fee more like!

Still, I can afford not to have this particular book!

Let's face it - the Wiki is supposed to be for the whole QL
community - ideally it would have its own domain (maybe
sinclairql.com or similar) and lots of people would be
adding and updating information on the Wiki

As it stands about 95% of the information has been added by
me, maybe 3% by Dilwyn and 2% by Urs Koenig

It would seem the QL community is not bothered about trying
to improve the amount of information about the QL on the
 web.

People need to contribute - this was just a project I
started to try and address the critics of the QL, who say
openly on the web that there were no games, it was only a
business machine, and that it died in the 80s.

The point is simple - IF YOU WANT THE WIKI TO BE BETTER /

I thought it was funny how one of them says

Each year we *contribute to several major charities within the UK*,
both directly and in terms of savings on waste disposal. We are very
proud of the charities we work with, how our efforts help improve the
lives of millions, and how we help add valuable research data for many
grave illnesses.

To meet this, they only have to pay 1p to several collecting tins and
nick the bags left outside the front doors of charity shops.
Not quite sure how they help add valuable research data for many grave
illnesses unless they are all extremely ill themselves maybe...
