Re: [Ql-Users] Sinclair QL Wiki
In message 4b87e261.4080...@rwapservices.co.uk, Rich Mellor r...@rwapservices.co.uk writes Thanks to Javier Guerra, I have now uploaded a new theme to give the Sinclair QL Wiki a cleaner and more professional layout The wiki appears at http://www.rwapadventure.com/ql_wiki I have also added some more details on QL software, although this is extremely slow work, as there is only me working on this. Unfortunately, I have more commercial projects in the pipeline on which I need to concentrate my efforts, due to having been made redundant. It is a shame that Quanta did not feel that it was appropriate to help fund the QL software preservation project, which would have safeguarded as much QL software as possible for current and future QL users - I still feel that this is a very important project, if the QL is to survive for any period, but unfortunately, I need help (financially and time wise) to convert software, test it, rescue software from half-damaged microdrive cartridges and to also get hold of some of the rarer titles which appear from time to time on ebay. I recently had a look at some of the early Sinclair QL magazines and was surprised by the amount of software and hardware which was listed in the early days, which is now sadly lost (or so it would appear) and still not even mentioned on the QL Wiki ! Hi Rich, Your work is much appreciated. As you say, the software produced all needs to be preserved if a full history is to be retained. I will offer the services of the London QL Quanta Group, later in the Year, to assist with converting ( and/or updating ) software. At present we are still getting re-organised at the Venue. Please get in touch privately with the details of what is involved. PS - This would be a good task for all Quanta Sub-Group's to get involved with too. -- Malcolm Cadman ___ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm

Anonymous users can provide a comment (or should be able to). However, to edit a page, you need to be registered on the wiki site. Some pages (eg. the one about RWAP Software) is limited to myself as editor.
