2002-08-15 Thread Andreas Berger

Hi,

I have a second hand copy SN: QL01496. If i try to run
CPMU_EXE i get the error "ROM not found or bad ! aborted"
Any hints or a source for a working copy?

ROMs could be the following files:
boot_rom1
boot_rom2
rom_cde1
rom_cde2

regards, Andreas

I have split this thread, as looks like (maybe) separate problems.
Aurora machine:

1) What software are you using?
2) Logs on to what? & what do you mean by 'logs on'?
3) 'screen not readable' - does this mean you are seeing something but
cannot read it? If so what are you seeing?

It would help to have a detailed step by step description of what you
see/hear.

[ql-users] qmake, the source and my inferior brain ....

2002-08-15 Thread Norman Dunbar

Afternoon all.

In an effort to (a) get a binary dev8 version of smsq and test it agains a
binary win1 verison, and (b) to try to get this list talking again (!) I
have tried to build smsq using qmake.

Qmake has arrived (Thanks Jochen) been installed and configured to pick up
my qmac and qlink files etc.

I cannot get qmake to work :o)

Here's what I did :

qmake is in win1_qmake_
I've renamed qmake_english to qmake.

source is win2_smsq_smsq_
dev8 is set to win2_
data_use is set to dev8_smsq_smsq_

Qmake correctly picks up the lik file dev8_smsq_smsq_link - so that seems
ok.
Hitting the 'Giant Do' loose item gives an erros saying that
'dev8_smsq_smsq_header_asm' cannot be found.

I'm afraid the file is there, is readable and can be found.

If I 'inhibit assembly' and hit the 'giant do' this time I get an error that
'ram8_smsq_smsq_5739_link' cannot be found. As ever, I check ram8_ and there
is the very file it cannot open. Looking inside the file shows a load of
binary characters (well it dows *sometimes*) after the link commands.

If I run it from the make_bas file supplied by TT in the source
(dev8_smsq_smsq_make_bas) I just get 'incomplete' at line 100.

Anybody got any helpful ideas ?

Cheers,
Norman.
