I must be mistaken, sorry. -- QBBS (QL fido BBS 2:252/67) +44(0)1442-828255 tony@.demon.co.uk http://www.firshman.demon.co.uk Voice: +44(0)1442-828254 Fax: +44(0)1442-828255 TF Services, 29 Longfield Road, TRING, Herts, HP23 4DG

Hi Ian, I read this message in the QL-USERS mailing list, if you are using a Q40 with QDOS Classic, then the code in QDOS Classic is a Qubide v1.56 module, which acts in the same way as a Qubide on a QL. I think that partition 1 has always to exist before you can use the partition program. But maybe wrong here Try format Win1_ to a small figure, then execute the partition_exe program and alter the partition definitions. I have had a Q60 & Qdos Classic on rom using the partition program OK. Try seeing which version of Partition program you are using, as there were bugs in earlier versions. Derek

[ql-users] Trump Card Level 2 Upgrade
Hi, My customer has manged to fit the level-2 upgrade (why are there no instuctions in the manual as to how to fit the chip I wonder). Am I correct that there is only one chip to swap?? However, the new commands crash the computer - I presume the chip has become corrupted. Can anyone re-blow this chip with the correct code I wonder (Tony)??
