I'm afraid that sullying the good name of the Australian Countryside is not
acceptable - especially whan using it as a derogatory term in relation to a
microsoft product (in as much as Microsoft have ever produced a product of
their own).

:o)

Cheers,

No catches, just the destination postcade has to be identical to yours(;-)

Hi Fabrizio,

it is nice to read that you are enjoying your Q60 :-) are you using
the new ShoeString version of our Linux? Email looks quite simple now.
As you can see from Alex below, this version runs well on a Q40. Any
Q40 owners considering using this version should contact D&D. Any Q60
Linux users that fancy the new version should also contact us.

2002-09-25 Thread Duncan Neithercut

Hi Fabrizio,
Can you tell me which version you are using. I released 1.03 then 1.04 and
finally 1.05 all very rapidly this month as a result of feed back from Claus
Graf.
Can you also tell me a bit more about what QCDEZE was doing when the error
was reported.
A little bit more information will help me fix it.
I have it running on my Q60 OK but I may not have envisaged exactly how you
need to use it or my system set up for QLiberated programs might be slightly
different.

What i can say for the moment is that the fast memory
changes for the Q60 , kindly provided from Marcel ,
works great, the system in general is a lot faster.
About system stability I did not notice any particular
problem, till now

For the rest, anyone on the list did some tests on the
new version of QCDEZE on a Q60 ? , the old version
works great for me , the new one stop with an error at
line 11170.
I do not have the Duncan Neithercutt e-mail to report
the problem directly to him.

This is excellent news. If you'd like any help with this in the form of
sending you packets, malformed packets, pings, co-operative DNS testing
etc, please feel free to let me know.

That's Nasta's baby. Nasta, I have these parts for you. Want them? :o)

Jon, I realise you're still busy trying to get it working, but I was
wondering how the documentation is coming along, and what the calls look
like. I'll drop by your site later and have a gander. What is the
likelihood of SBASIC integration? The first draft of qeymail will most
likely be in SBASIC. After that, who knows.

Final item: if anyone else who hasn't yet expressed an interest would like
to join in writing an open source email client, please let me know, so we
can get together online and make a start sometime soon.

Thanks!

Dave

The soql ppp driver is managing to connect and
negotiate for an IP address etc. I still have to debug
the actual data transfer which (at least with ping) is
only working in one direction at the moment.

I'll need the SGC Aurora IDE/Ethernet interface
before I can work on pppoe but maybe a more
intelligent ADSL router/hub would be a simpler
solution. (if more expensive)
