[ql-users] Scroll bars.

2003-06-30 Thread J. Sadler

George's TurboTPTR & CPTR automatically create
a single scroll bar for a menu which cannot be completely displayed in the
window. So this can be done in basic or C.
Scroll bars in the horizantal direction are not
automatically created.

Hehe, DISA is actually one of the best disassemblers I know. For any
platform.

> I never knew that you had taken it over.

Well, I just hate looking at old-style programs now, therefore I've
acquired the sources. And while I'm at it I'm trying to implement
support for the new PE data structures, too. Otherwise one cannot
properly disassemble any new-style programs anymore.

Cheers, Marcel

I dont know if there is an "official" way, or how secure this method is (but
no doubt you will hear the howls of disapproval if Im wrong ;) but you could
try something along these lines:

First check if a TK2 ROM is plugged in:

rom = 49152: rem $C000
if peek_l(rom) = '1257963522' then
rem $4AFB0001 is the ROM signature
rem You may get a bus error or some other
rem hysterics if nothing is plugged in. Dont know
rem how the various emulators will react..
rem OK with QL2K plug plugg
s$ = ""
for i = 1 to peek_w(rom + 10)
 s$ = s$ & chr$(peek(rom + 11 + i))
endfor i
if "Care / Qjump Toolkit" instr s$ then
rem you can assume that TK2 is in ROM
else
rem Not in ROM, at least
rem Check whether TK2 is loaded
sv = 163840: rem $28000 sys vars
p = peek_l(sv + 172): rem $ac => PROGD
if p <> 0 then
rem you can assume that TK2 is RESPRed
endif,etc

Nah, I have Disa V2 and use it quite often - hey, you don't think I use
stuff like QLTDis do you :o) I never knew that you had taken it over. I like
the way it lets you pre-process a disassembly to identify code, config etc -
a brilliant idea when it first came out.

I also use Davide's DEA from time to time as well.

And IDIS (SE).

And QLTDis .

I guess I'm just a disassembler fanatic !!

Cheers,
Norman.
