I have not tried these two computers but I do use Sernet from time to time. There were several articles about Sernet (including one about Q40) on page 31 of Volume 1 Issue 5 of QL Today, in case you find something to help you in there. I have v2.25 of sernet happily running on QPC between my desktop PC and my wife's laptop, and I'm sure I've had it running between Aurora and QPC in the past, but I've just tried it now and I get the same result as you between Aurora and QPC. I will be listening (reading?) carefully for a solution to this to see if I can get it running again between my Aurora and QPC. Ah, interesting, it used to work fine between my Aurora/Super Gold Card and QPC2, but using the same cable as I used to it no longer works, only difference between the systems is different versions of SMSQ/E since then (rather old on the Aurora). Make sure you follow the instructions on the XTC68NT package so you can rename libc properly and put everything in their correct subdirectories (libc_a becomes c.a) Also it's better that you update libc_a for GD2 from a QDOS/SMSQ installation of C68 as my SLB port never worked properly.
