It is from Greece as well... and there are always good prices through EasyJet. Maybe I can get the sleeper Greek QLers to attend.. .(several of them DO read this list as I found out recently). We may not be a lot, but we will make noise for a lot of people :-) I may even convince Darren to finally come over to Greece for a little while (fell through last year :-( A pity cause I really struggled to make my Irish Hellos to sound convincing ;-) >>H Calzone :-) hehehehehe >No not them. Standard open ones, but with a vast amount on top, and >very very large. Hmmm I got to take you to a couple of places in Greece for Pizza as well... my favourite is in Athens and has a pizza with the fitting name "4x4" (It is a real MOUNTAIN to eat...) Rough terrain even for me >I have been to the 'Red Lion' (what a bad name - sounds like a British >pub) twice with Stuart on bicycles, and once with Roy by car. A useless piece of trivia here... the very first pub (like in English style REAL pub) in Greece was practically under my house and its name was... guess what... "Red Lion " :-) > >On one of the cycle rides we asked a a local Italian for directions, and >he turned out to have been chauffeur to Lord Carrington for years in >England (8-)# These Italians are crazy and they're worse than Greeks I tell you (I know I am married to one, my cousin was married to one -With the same name and from the same place by a strange twist of fate- And my uncle studied there... I can't escape them :-) ) ... You lift a rock, chances are you'll find an Italian or Irish (They outnumber them 2:1 I am s ure) (Well on the 2nd rock however you will find a Greek probably selling that damn rock too ;-) (Now of course that was a joke.. .well sort of ;-) hee-hee) Phoebus

I know Davide was pretty depressed last time at the turnout, especially as quite a few of the well known punter faces were not there. It was a helluva lot better turnout though than the Irish boozeup (8-)# Sorry Darren, but we all enjoyed the Irish show as you know - far from a waste of time. All shows I go to are worthwhile in some way, especially the Italian one. We had a very nice couple of days, and renewed old friendships and pizzas. Davide - if you are 'listening', don't be put off by last time. If you organise another one say next June, I would certainly come if I can. I need another 'Red Lion' pizza (8-)# (That town halfway between Reggio and Parma, that Sturat and I found by accident by bicycle. I will not forget my starter. Stuart had a very nice roasted veg plate. I had 'patate frite'. I should have guessed - chips (8-(# but truly giant and well covered pizzas later. Some very good QL developments can start by idle chat at shows. RomDisq for a start - that was started in Eindhoven by me mentioning the Z88 flash memory card in the earshot of Stuart. We put together a plan on the way home. It was at an Austrian show that I discovered Jonathan Dent was a TCP/IP specialist. superHermes seeds were sown by Lau and I at a show. -- QBBS (QL fido BBS 2:252/67) +44(0)1442-828255 tony@.co.uk http://www.firshman.co.uk Voice: +44(0)1442-828254 Fax: +44(0)1442-828255 TF Services, 29 Longfield Road, TRING, Herts, HP23 4DG
