Yes, but I have thrown that CD away (after your generous assistance)
and lost the copy on my hard disk in a recent post-virus reformat.
However, what I forgot until after I re-downloaded it was that it was
added to the QL Documentation CD before I reformatted the hard drive
and I had in fact burned a copy which included it (thought it was
still a job waiting to be done which for once I had done and forgotten
I'd done the job!). Sometimes, some days, my brain just goes AWOL.

I blame nobody but myself and my own stupidity for once in my life!

At least, it helped to sort out a problem I would have had downloading
PDFs because of the PDF reader problem with IE5.

Many thanks for the offer. I have now managed to get it sorted, it
turned out to be a problem with the little PDF reader plug in for IE.

Thanks ot everyone for the help and suggestions, these files will now
be available from my PD library service on CD if anyone wants these
files without the cost of downloading. PLEASE don't ask me to email
them anyone...it's nearly bankrupted me trying to download them as it

That file is 15mb long - be warned.

When sending URLs it is a good idea to 'fix' it in some way - Turnpike
use 'unformatted'
OK the original wasn't as bad as that - it was missing only the final
'f'.

IE generally shows a progress indicator when downloading large files.
When I access any files from the World Of Spectrum ftp site the PC
locks completely and I have to CTRL ALT DEL to get the tasks thingy to
remove things.

As Mike Macnamara suggests, most likely I have some IE settings
muddled up on this computer.

If I get nowhere, I may ask someone to put these on CD for me and pay
for the CD and postage, being less trouble than struggling with
something I have no patience with when it is less than happy
(Windoze).

Thanks. I using IE 5.something and will look at these. The 'ual.pdf'
split was known and no bearing on this as I manually typed it in full.

There is obviously some setting for scripts or ftp sites I am not
aware of and it must be a default setting because I rarely touch those
and Win 98 SE is a recent clean update and re-install after a bad
virus infection which taught me a bit about "worms" and Lookout
Excess.

Meanwhile, acouple of people have offered to download or mirror the
files for me, thanks Marcel and others.

These types of documents may well go on my QL Documentation CD. I
still welcome any further contributions for this - watch out for
something in QL Today soon.

In all cases exactly the same - yes lines are there and viewable and

Not surprisingly at 100k, the pcb diagrams GIFs are illegible.
