RE : [ql-users] QPC2 v3.11 SMSQE v3.01
Hi everyone, Perharps it should be time to find new QL Users in all over the world as I meet some events like : * There is some young people that want to become programmers but they don't know where to start, * I saw in french stores a Joystick with integrated small console of an ATARI 2600 on sell with 10 very old games like PONG at 30 euros. * Owning old computers is a hobby for many people. * An informatician said me that SuperBasic is a really very wonderfull language. * 68000 Assembler is still learn at school. This should help to increase opportunities around QL and SMSQ technologies... Things like the translation of manuals, reviews-cum-tutorials, sprites, add-ons, help, collaboration over standards, etc could all be useful. As far as I'm concerned, an update to Easyptr (Basic for me, and C for others) to quickly and easily rattle off programs. The window save and restore already seem to handle the new colour schemes (they're probably simple block memory moves), so writing a graphics viewer program for example is possible in Easyptr. -- Dilwyn Jones

Morning Marcel, you wrote : Other stuff like a new DISA I'm still working on, though you can already see the current built in the screen shot. But it's probably just me who uses tools like DISA anyway. Nah, I have Disa V2 and use it quite often - hey, you don't think I use stuff like QLTDis do you :o) I never knew that you had taken it over. I like the way it lets you pre-process a disassembly to identify code, config etc - a brilliant idea when it first came out. I also use Davide's DEA from time to time as well. And IDIS (SE). And QLTDis . I guess I'm just a disassembler fanatic !! For any platform. I never knew that you had taken it over. Well, I just hate looking at old-style programs now, therefore I've acquired the sources. And while I'm at it I'm trying to implement support for the new PE data structures, too. Otherwise one cannot properly disassemble any new-style programs anymore. Cheers, Marcel

[ql-users] QPC2 v3.11 SMSQE v3.01
Announcement =-=-=-=-=-=- After roughly one year of work QPC2 v3.11 including SMSQ/E v3.01 is finally out and downloadeable from the usual address (and with the usual password): http://www.kilgus.net/qpc/ Both SMSQ/E and QPC version history can be read there or below. Also check out the new desktop image at http://www.kilgus.net/images/qldesktop.png In related news, I have prepared QPAC2 v1.42. Minor changes to Files window and the Channels window is fixed again on QDOS platforms (Minerva wasn't affected). Current Sysmon is at version 2.09, on current GD2 systems you might want to check whether you have the latest one. More stuff like a polished up Qascade and my own colour/sprite theme you see in the shot is already finished but needs to be prepared for release. RoboCup world championship is coming right up, so this will probably take some more time (in fact I should be better working at the CORBA based ball localisation routine than hacking these lines here, but well ;-). Other stuff like a new DISA I'm still working on, though you can already see the current built in the screen shot. But it's probably just me who uses tools like DISA anyway. All this was done FREE of charge for everybody to enjoy (yes, even for you heretics that don't use QPC). If you feel like supporting the development, please buy another 10 copies of QPCs (Huh? What do you mean with I don't even have a PC!?). Or donate something. If you donate food, I prefer the BigKing over the BigMac. With ordinary fries, not that chunky crap. Oh wait, I already started to get fat. Send some salad. More seriously, I would also appreciate self-made applications or themes that uses the stuff I painfully thought up. Attention: everybody who asks a question that is explained in the manual will get hit by a meteor. You have been warned! And this just in: there's enough salad in the freezer, please don't post any more. Have all the fun you can possibly get, Marcel P.S.: I get silly when I'm overworked and tired. But you can probably tell by now anyway.
