Re: [ql-users] QPC on a Mac

2002-11-19 Thread Darren Branagh

I recall that myself and Ken Brickwood managed to get QPC running on an old
Mac Powerbook belonging to Ken several years ago under Virtual PC - it was
after a London show in his house and we had a few hours to kill.

All I know is than it ran and was perfectly usable - it was QPC1 then, not
QPC2 so it ran under DOS, not Windows.

Of course, Virtual PC is now on Version 5, QPC is much better, and Macs have
come a long way too... Ken now has an iBook - have you tried using it yet
Ken under QPC2?

Also, can you contact me directly as of my plea last week...?

Cheers,

 Dave,

Have you run (or anyone else) QPC under Virtual PC on a Mac. I am
interested in getting some performance comparisons and also to see if
anyone has had any issues with multiple key entries (such as in QD).

Interestingly, I chose the slower clocked Mac because it was The Tool

  never crashed and Just Works...

I don't have Virtual PC, because I jabe numerous real PCs. I also don't
have QPC because I have a QXL.

Sorry.

Hi

I have tried the demo version of QPC2 in VirtualPC on my PowerBookG3 500Mhz,
both under OSX and 9.

It was very slow, compared to running uqlx native or my Q40.

Jim,
Dave doesn't have QPC -or QD- (I should know he just bought SMSQ/E for the QXL) but I
will send him the Demo version for him to try pair together with QSBB and other
benchmarks in a QXL.WIN file :-)

I want to know too :-)
