Subject: Re: [ql-users] my all time favourite QL code
It had datastatements with chrs there that represented values for the
turtle.
Unfortunately they used a printer that did not have a QL character set,
and there were also many unprintable chrs - ie 'blobs'
It took a lot of trial and error to get the right chrs. Maybe my BBS
has the only working version (8-)#
Greetings, Tony!
The Dragon program (Dragon's Portrait by Chris Bower) is actually on the
same page of QL USER journal, June '85 issue, where I found that amazing
recursive tree. However I did not even dare trying to type in the dragon
program, because I gave it no hope to match the strange characters from the
QL's 2nd charset. Must admit my full respect belongs to you if you managed
to figure that out... Probably a lot of the fascination of that picture
comes from seeing how it gets drawn?
Must also admit since I belong to the www generation I have no idea how to
access a BBS. Could you give me a hint how to download dragon.zip?
Looks like I will have to put it on my web site (8-)#
I will do it tomorrow.
