Error message in .qmail
Hi, I have this line in .qmail-default file: | [ "$HOST" = "domain.sk" ] exit 100 || exit 0 which returns a "hard error" message to the sender, if host domain is "domain.sk". What I need is put to that message exact reason of undelivery (e.g. "User uknown"). How can I do that?

Mailer-daemon returns full message
Hi, I noticed, that when is problem with delivering mail, qmail tries to return full mail to sender, not only some error message. If sender sends a mail with 5MB attachment to nonexistent recipient, 5MB message is bounced to postmaster and to sender - is it a feature, or what ;-)? Is it true, that qmail first received full message and then checks if it is deliverable? Is there any patch, or I am stupid and I need to patch myself? sending big file
Hi,
We use qmail (on FreeBSD 4) as a relay smtp server, and
some of our customers with dialup access have problem to send
"big" files (over 500 kB) through this server. It takes too much time,
and then error message (timeout or TCP error) appears. It does not
depend on user's mail client (similar error with Pegasus Mail and
Outlook Express).
With sendmail, I had no problems.
Can You help me, please?

access denied to mailbox
Hi! I configured qmail with single uid based pop3 boxes as is described in Paul Gregg's HOWTO, but I got this error, when I tried to deliver a message: 935082160.737494 delivery 36: deferral: Unable_to_switch_to_/var/mailboxes/gusto :_access_denied._(#4.3.0)/ I checked configuration, permission, and owners of home directory, but still I don't see, where is a problem. My users/assign: =gusto:pop:63:6:/var/mailboxes/gusto::: . Rights and permissions to gusto's home directory: drwx-- 6 pop mail 512 Aug 19 18:28 gusto Can anybody help me, please? Hi, I read this thread, and still don't see, whether is possible to give imap server (uw or cyrus) with qmail's maildirs the same functionality like with mailboxes. I would like to use imap+qmail+maildirs for our customers, but don't want to run into the problems. Does anyone really use imap and maildirs, or is better to use mailboxes for this time?
