Courier IMAP / Autoresponders / SQWebMail
Anything I should be aware of for installing Courier IMAP with vpop and vchkpw We would like to install sqwebmail but worried about screwing things up since it took a month to get it running the right way with no error messages ::whew:: Red Hat Linux 6.2 Current Qmail, QmailAdmin, EzMLM, vpop, vchkpw Also, if anyone knows why when using autoresponders why the mail bounces but yet the autoresponder goes out would be much appreciated! Kathleen
vchkpw: vchkpw: Read error
Last night we changed the hostname and main nameservers for our server. Everything seemed fine till this a.m. we are now getting these errors: "Jul 14 09:30:43 pisces vchkpw: vchkpw: Read error" Any ideas on how to fix this? Kathleen
vpopmail
well, now we upgraded to vpopmail-4.x.x, installed it with the same options as before. this time. instead of a read error, or the correct way of authenticating. it appened MY ipaddress to the username. so isntead of the logs showing [[EMAIL PROTECTED]] it would show [username@:63.72.96.166] Help, it's oen thing after another today :( Kathleen
sqwebmail 500 error after install
Getting a 500 error after install of sqwebmail any ideas? Kathleen
Re: sqwebmail 500 error after install
I'm sorry I didn't give more detail but there's no need for rudeness. Some of us are beginners at this. Thank you Tim for your courtesy. autoresponder problems
Looking for a autoresponder patch I saw on one of these mailing lists. If I add a pop3 it works fine but once I add a autoresponder the mail bounces back to the send but the sender also receives the autorespond message. If there's a patch could u repost please!
Qmail not sending to Certain Servers
There are certain servers that any domain on my server can not send too. It just never is recieved. No messages bounce or anything. Any idea's or thoughts what might be causing this? qmail, qmailadmin, courier imap, sqwebmail, vpop the works is installed on our server we've had no problems recently other than a pain in the butt user over quota problem (when really they aren't) that deleting the domain and resetting it up seems to fix. But the inability to send to certain servers, usually clients of mine ISP's never bounce just never get there. Thanks, Kathleen
Re: Qmail not sending to Certain Servers
The logs say absolutely nothing. that's the disturbing part. The email sends but never is recieved or bounced or nothing. Just amazes me theres nothing reporting anywhere. Thank you everyone for your quick responses. For once I'm glad to know it's not me. Any where I could do some reading on how to read qmail logs? Maybe then I'd understand some of this a little more when issues arise.
