Oh, so we need to put the script in every domains
(/home/vpopmail/domains/dom.dom...) right? Isn't there a _single_ place
to do that?

There are a lot of these problems arising. Mostly by adding -H -R -l
(letter L) to the tcpserver the problems go away.

Hi:

/var/qmail/alias/.qmail-default ?

I'm afraid that's not available in vpopmail scheme.

Try using tcpserver -l -R -H ...

It might help.

Where's a good place to put a script to filter every mail

2001-07-25 Thread Kman

Where's a good place to install some script (like chkattach.pl) in one
place in qmail (as per LWQ) +vpopmail setup? I was thinking of inserting
the script into some qmail startup script, like
/var/qmail/supervise/???/run?

I'd like to install that script to filter out a virus/common spam from
being sent to & from many virtual email accounts/domains in our system.
It's quite inconvenient to have to put the script in all .qmail- file in
every virtual domain directories.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks

mail sorting

2001-07-03 Thread Kman

I remember that I once read something about sorting bulk mail (different
mesg in each mail) by domain before sending them out is a bad idea.
Can't find it in the archive. Anyone can tell me why? Are we going to
saturate the qmail-remote (concurrencyremote) when the a particular
remote is busy or not?

And is this behavior different between qmail and sendmail?

Thanks
