COPY MAIL
Hi all. My need is to copy all the mail sended and received from and to a specific user. I explain better I have two users mail account, and to backup my e-mail, i need to send all received and all sended mail to another local account. There is a way with qmail?? Thanks.

Hi all. There is a method to create an user on a qmail server and this user can reached only via internal hosts? I explain me better. I have user1, user2, user3, user4 on a qmail server. user1 and user2 should receive e-mail from outside and from inside, but user3 and user4 only from inside. If someone send an email to user3 or user4 qmail should reply no such user here. I must use only one server for this There's a way? Thanks

Hi all. I want that all the mail directed to [EMAIL PROTECTED] is forwarded to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED] Someone is my real user on the server with qmail, someone1 is my backup user. How i can do this redirection? Thanks.

Strange Time error
Hi all. I have a strange problem on my qmail server. I have a linux box with time and date setted to right timezone. When i try to deliver a mail directly from the consolle (mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]), qmail deliver the mail but include a strange time. For example: the system date is 11:00 am qmail show 09:00 am. When i download the mail, the mail report 09:00 am, the wrong date. If i send a mail using a PC client and a program like outlook express to [EMAIL PROTECTED] usign qmail as smtp, the mail reach the destination with the right time. Someone can help me?

Hi. On my network i have now installed a new server with qmail acting as a mailgateway for external mail. My real server (with qmail again) was behind the mailgateway, and was used by my users for normal SMTP and POP3. I have a question: 1)There is a parameter or a method with qmail for redirecting all the mail (but not local domain mails) received from the internal mailserver to the mailgateway? 2)And then what is the method to redirect all the mail received from the mailgateway and directed to local domain to the internal server? There is a RELAYHOST parameter that can help me or not? Bye.

new install doesnt work?
I installed QMail from a rpm I found on the web site. I didnt get any error messages when I installed it but it doesnt work. If I send myself a mail it just disappears. Hi all. I have 2 questions to submit. 1)The first is a newbye question about ezmlm program. Can i create mailing list without user name? In the examples doc, i must supply [EMAIL PROTECTED], but if i want to create only [EMAIL PROTECTED] (like [EMAIL PROTECTED])? 2)I'm managing a mail server with qmail. I have about 200 users and 50 virtual domains, and all my configuration works correctly. I have created about 180 real users (passwd and shadow files) in my system for managing virtual domains accounts. I know that many servers (with qmail) over the internet, host a lot of virtual users (1), but i can't think they created 9000 real users!! Someone can tell me if there was a method to avoid the creation of real account for managing virtual users? Thanks.

POP3 QUOTA
Hi all. I'm searching a method to limit pop3 mail account. My users left many Mb messages on their pop3 account, and when they try to download them, the connection was very slow and log. Limiting their pop3 maximun storing account, i think all was good. Any ideas? Qmail have some add-on for this?

qmail running; no mail delivery to Maildir
Hi, I installed qmail in this order.. MySQL Version 3.22.32 tcpserver (ucspi-tcp-0.88) qmail-1.03 qmail was working fine. Mails were being deleiverd to Mailbox file. I switched to Maildir format according to instructions in qmail's INSTALL.maildir file. I logged in as root and executed : ./maildirmake ~user1/Maildir echo ./Maildir/ ~user1/.qmail for all the users (have only a few users...for testing) I also excuted: ./maildirmake /etc/skel/Maildir echo ./Maildir/ /etc/skel/.qmail so that all new users are created with proper Maildirs. Step-4 of qmail's INSTALL file says... 4. Read INSTALL.ctl and FAQ. Minimal survival command: And according to the FAQ file... According to FAQ's question 5.1: 5.1. How do I run qmail-smtpd under tcpserver? I setup in inet.conf file the following (since I have tcpserver installed) tcpserver -u 7770 -g 2108 0 smtp /var/qmail/bin/qmail-smtpd (I have replaced 7770 and 2108 with my qmaild uid and nofiles gid) According to FAQ's question 5.3: 5.3. How do I set up qmail-pop3d? I setup in /etc/inetd.conf the following... tcpserver 0 pop3 /var/qmail/bin/qmail-popup YOURHOST \ /bin/checkpassword /var/qmail/bin/qmail-pop3d Maildir (Since I have tcpserver installed) I've replaced YOURHOST with my host name. I have also installed the checkpassword programs. Now, I can connect to my system on port 25 using telnet and send local mails using SMTP commands. But mails are not being delivered to mailbox or Maildir. I checked the file /var/log/maillog file. problems installing qmail
Hello I'm installing Qmail 1.03 on Red Hat 6.0 I was told to put: csh -cf '/var/qmail/rc ' in my boot script. Where is the exact place to put this command ? I'm afraid all what I tried failed - qmail doesn't start when the system is going up. Thanks.
