Re: Help with Installation

SunOS 5.7 U of W IMAP server Sendmail There are about 2000+ users on the server I have been able to telnet to the SMTP service and send a message from myself to myself without errors, but the message never arrives in my INBOX. What do I need to check to make sure mail is getting delivered to where I want it? Cordell Bourne Sr. Software Test Engineer Campus Pipeline, Inc. did you specify that you are going to use mailbox? You may want to check that since you may use the Maildir option and it will now work with university of wash. they do not support that. I suggest to use Courier IMAP. REMO
Re: webmail recommendations?
Eric Paynter wrote: I've just started an email server evaluation to provide a complete email solution including POP3, SMTP, and webmail. We're already strongly thinking qmail is a good place to start, but it does not have native webmail support. We do not need IMAP. So far, the webmail servers on the floor are: oMail-webmail NeoMail AtDot EmuMail Does anybody have any good/bad experience with these? Do they integrate well with qmail? We're hoping to use maildir format. I know oMail supports it, but from a perusal of the websites, I'm not certain if the others do. Also, can anybody suggest any other webmail servers that integrate well with qmail? Any comments appreciated. Yes it does have webmail support, it's called sqwebmail good program and very fast, you can also use IMP. I will work with maildir no problem. Remo
Qmail-Sqwebmail-LDAP
Hi guys, here is the scenario: I had everything working no problem, Sqwebmail and LDAP, but once I upgrade to 2.4.3 kernel and iptables 1.2.1a then my LDAP stopped working, I wonder if anyone has had same problem. I tried it without any firewall rules to check if it would work but no luck, Again worked fine with ipchains. Thanks Again guys, REMO

I have a cable modem and use my linux machine as a firewall, I am trying to use certain programs such as Microsoft netmeeting I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to enable a proper two directional communication between the two clients. I changed specifically to iptables as I belived that the connection logging and NAT capabilities would enable me to accomplish this a lot easier and more securely compared to ipchains. Thanks James Cook why do you use netsat?? try netstat -nap or netstat -a -p -A inet tcp Remo
Re: qmail undeliverables - return to sender?
Joy Hundley wrote: Hi - I am new to this mailing list and to qmail, so if my question is worded incorrectly - please be patient with me. I want to have e-mails with an incorrect recipient name/address to be returned to the sender immediately -- can this be done? If so, how? I would prefer not to alter the queuelifetime, as a server down is a different problem altogether than an incorrect address. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :) Joy Hundley Internet Services Service Transport 800-528-1616 ext. 240 Visit us on the Web at www.service-transport.com you need to use the .qmail-default.
