Qmailqueue patch over current qmail 1.03
Hi, I've already installed: Qmail 1.03+Vpopmail 4.10+sqwebmail+daemontools+ezmlm+autoresond+ucspi (PHWEW!) and I was wondering what would happen if I patched a brand new qmail 1.03 with the qmailqueue patch (I want to use virus scanning) and installed the patched qmail over itself. Would I lose anything? Files, configurations, etc? Thanks in advance, Michael _ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
Is there a better way to log qmail smtp & pop3
Hi, I'm currently using Qmail 1.03 with the whole tcpserver/ucspi, multilog, etc. package. My log files (this one is my pop log) look like this: @40003b6f23d405fbda4c tcpserver: ok 10894 0:192.168.1.103:110 :192.168.1.103:110@40003b6f23d407ac513c tcpserver: end 10894 status 256@40003b6f23d407ad6a7c tcpserver: status: 0/25 Frankly, it doesn't tell me much -- like how long it took, what user authenticated, etc etc. Is there a program/a way that i can log better? If so, where can I get it? Thanks in advance, MichaelGet your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
Vpopmail+SqWebmail 3 problem
Hello, I have qmail 1.03 and qmailadmin w/ ezmlm & autoresponder installed on my Red Hat Linux 7 server. I received the follwing error message during setup: echo '#include "/var/vpopmail//include/config.h"' >vpopmail_config.h gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I. -I/var/vpopmail//include -g -O2 -Wall -I.. -I./.. -c authvchkpw.c authvchkpw.c: In function `auth_vchkpw_changepass': authvchkpw.c:142: warning: assignment from incompatible pointer type authvchkpw.c:151: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type authvchkpw.c:151: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type make[1]: *** [authvchkpw.o] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/sqwebmail-3.0.0/authlib' make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 Apparently the error comes with the vchkpw setup. Is this a bug or is it me? Thanks.Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
vchkpw password authentication problem
Hi, I just recently installed vpopmail-4.9.10+qmail-1.03. I set up my local information manually, and used vpopmail's webadmin to create a virutal domain and pop users; however, when I try to pop mail from the virtual users, I cannot -- i.e. the password is not accepted (for whatever reason). Anyone have any ideas? My home directory for vpopmail is: /var/vpopmail with the password file in: /var/vpopmail/domains/myvirtualwebsite.com Thanks. P.S. As a side note, I noticed that if I used: 127.:allow,RELAYCLIENT=""192.168.:allow,RELAYCLIENT="":deny In my tcp.smtp file, I couldn't get mail from the outside in (I thought this file was only supposed to affect mail from the inside out!). However, when I changed it to: 127.:allow,RELAYCLIENT=""192.168.:allow,RELAYCLIENT="" It seemed to work find (although am I an open-relay now???) Thanks again.Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
Virtual POP User & Local POP User Combo
Anyone know if there is a "checkpassword" program out there that will check the /etc/shadow file as well as an extra file or files (like checkpoppasswd's /var/qmail/users/vpoppasswd)? This would make hosting virtual domains as well as a local one much easier and cleaner. _ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
