Script for sending mails to the owners of the accounts

Hi all,

Iam running Qmail for our Messaging system with Quota system is implemented
for for our POP users.I want to send my users an
Email notification (to the owner ) automatically when 80% of his/her quota
completes.Is there any script for doing this.
Any help will be gratly appreciated.

Treating SMTP(remote) mails as locals

Dear all,

I have already  posted  a query that all the remote mails(SMTP) are treated
as "locals".
My back up server is working fine with the same configuration.

Is there any other files that i have to check it up other than control
files.
I checked up inetd.conf in /etc. It is also correct  as that of back up
servr.

Shifting of encrypted password from one qmail server to another

Dear all,

I installed a separate backup server for my present existing qmail server.I
tranfered all the  control files in /var/qmail/control to the back up
server  also all the"./alias" files.But how to shift the POP users (ie
their encrypted password).

Pls suggest me.any help will be appreciated..

UREGENT: SMTP domains getting resolved as Local

I am facing a strange problem. All the mails, for the SMTP user, which are
to be smtp to remote servers getting resolved as local.

There are pop users also existing for the domain name, so i have to keep
the domain name in 'local' file. For SMTP users the alias has been defined
and as per the alias the enteries are made in SMTProuytes file.

The setup has been working fine for last 6 months. Suddenly today morning i
found the smtp is not working.

I tried by recreating the locals and smtp routes file it doesn't help.

If i remove the domain name form local the mails start getting smtp, but
then pop users get affected.

kindly suggest what could be the problem.

  the essential POP3d  SMTPd services the response is very poor.
  The server configuration is 256MB RAM,Pentium III processor 450 MHZ,
  with 20 GB harddisk space.

  Any guess?any help will be appreciated.

to get qmail system administrators name in the LOG file

Dear all,

As we know that the Qmail  delivers  the delivery failure report(ie,bounced
back mail)to the sender thru qmail-send program.
But in the logs I dont get the name of MAILER-DAEMON/SYSTEM-ADMIN , but I
simply get a BLANK name (ie, no from ID).

How can I modify this so that in the logs I should get MY
SYSTEM-ADMINISTRATOR name   instead of  BLANK name.
Can anyone pls suggest regarding this.

In which I directory I can get this information.Pls kindly suggest me.

same username with different domain(SMTP)

Dear all,

I want to configure the same username  for different smtp domains.How do I
achieve this , the domain name needs to get precedence over alias name for
resolving an email because although the alias is same, the domains are
different?
