lame question
Wish there was a graphic picture of the qmail parts and the addons with their various functional locations and requirements or even a flow chart showing how stuff should move under various conditions. I'm really not seeing the big picture at all and I feel less than smart right now. my qmail seems to work fine I want to put a web interface to it using atdot which implies that I should have qmail-pop3d running which implies that I should have tcpserver running among other things I am hoping to build user lists using apop independant of the UNIX Solaris OS but the mechanism and method escapes me. like where is the pop3 daemon looking for the users and passwords? arrg and how are these changed

Never fear! http://www.nrg4u.com/ has nice big color pix of the qmail picture. As for your other questions you might want to poke around qmail.org for a pop password checker thingy. There are more than one floating around out there. Pat -- Freestyle Interactive | http://www.freestyleinteractive.com | 415.778.0610
