Mailing list archive?

2003-12-04 Thread Oscar Retana M.
Hello.

I don't want to bother all of you with my problems, when it is likely
that all of them have been already reported and discussed before in this
mailing list. Where can I find the mail list archive?

Thanks!

How's that? vpopmail doesn't add the "mail" attribute!!

2003-12-05 Thread Oscar Retana M.
Hi.

qmail + OpenLDAP: OK
qmail + OpenLDAP + vpopmail: Not OK, not yet :)
I create a new domain (vadddomain), Ok. I can even add more users
(besides "postmaster" which is generated automatically).

Then I try to send an email to "postmaster", but qmail+ldap can't find
the account... why? because as far as I know, qmail+ldap searches using
the attribute "mail", and as far as I can see, vadduser didn't add this
attribute to the new created users.

Am I right?

For example, if I execute "qmail-ldaplookup -m [EMAIL PROTECTED]",
and qmail+ldap doesn't find the account... just because (according to
the log), qmail searched for any attribute "mail" or
"mailAlternateAddress" named "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", but none of the
users added with vadduser have this attribute set.

I will appreciate any comment :D

Where should I try to resolve the problem?
In qmail+ldap: try searching with other attributes, or
vpopomail: It should set the "mail" attribute.

Ok you're confused here. You don't need vpopmail and qmail-ldap, you
need either vpopmail with ldap and vanilla qmail. Or qmail-ldap not both.

Uhm... Ok. I'm really new in these topics.

Three things I need:
1. qmail +
2. ldap +
3. web-admin
-> Web-admin: basically create/modify/remove domains and users.

I thought I could set up qmail-ldap and then add vpopmail and qmailadmin
to this installation.

So, let's say I don't use vpopmail (vldap module is a bit buggy). Is
there any tool to enable web administration to a qmail-ldap installation?

Thanks!
