[qmailtoaster] vpopmail or mysql user counter error?
I've installed Qmail Toaster 1.2 on Fedora Core 4 using current-install script and got error with vpopmail-mysql: when I add anynewdomain(usingvqadminorsimplyexecuting ~vpopmail/bin/vadddomain x.xxx) all works fine. But then, if I create some new mailboxes in this domain and remove them - something goes wrong and I can't "View domain" in vqadmin, in Apache logs I see "*** buffer overflow detected ***" message. When I do ~vpopmail/bin/vdominfo I see something like domain: x.xxx uid:89 gid:89 dir:/home/vpopmail/domains/x.xxx users: 2147483640 If im not mistaken, strange users counter caused Apache errors. I have only some users in this domain, not 2147483640. ~vpopmail/bin/vadduser still works, but admin-toaster doesn't. I'm using qmailtoaster on 4 different mail servers without admin-toaster package and then I installed it I got the same result on all of my mail servers. -- Serega mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: [qmailtoaster] spam
Thanks! I looked at the readme file and the first thing is says to make is a symlink but I don't have there directories: 1 - You need to make the following symlink to build qmail-smtpd with chkuser: ln -s /usr/kerberos/include/krb5.h /usr/kerberos/include/com_err.h /usr/kerberos/include/profile.h /usr/include/ Any idea what I need to do? I'm using MDK9.1 on that server. Make sure that the uid for vpopmail and the gid for vchkpw match the ones in /var/qmail/users/assign. [qmailtoaster] Users can't send more than 8 messages at a time
Hello. I have an issue with Qmailtoaster on CentOS v4.1. The install/run is going basically very well, it has been up for over a month. The issue is that external email senders inbound for more than one local address could not do more than "about" 8 addresses before they errored out with "CHKUSER...exceeded" So I put CHKUSER_RCPTLIMIT=80 and an export in the /var/qmail/supervise/smtp/run file. Seemed to fix it. But local email senders still had issues sending to more than "about" 8. I have modified the code in /etc/tcp/tcp.smtp and rebuilt the cdb, and restarted send and smtp processes, hoping this is the answer. Is that the fix? Is that all that is needed? FAQ and Google have not helped much on this yet... Thanks, Robert - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Re: [qmailtoaster] connect(): No such file or directory
I would like to try another wokaround the problem. Is it possible to deactivate spamassassin and antivirus easily, to try if qmail works without them? - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Try manually installing spamassassin from the RPM and see if it gives you any errors. Also check /var/log/qmail/spamd/current and see what errors there are. I forget what distro you installed this on, but you may be missing a few of the perl libs that spamassassin needs. You can try manually starting spamd for qmail by using this: svc -u /var/qmail/supervise/spamd /var/qmail/supervise/spamd/log and see if there are any errors as well. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi, I'm on FC3. well a ps -ef |grep spamd gives me: --- root 25361 25352 0 11:13 pts/100:00:00 supervise spamd qmaill 25364 25363 0 11:13 pts/100:00:00 /usr/bin/multilog t s100 n100 /var/log/qmail/spamd root 25383 25361 0 11:13 pts/100:00:01 /usr/bin/perl -T -w /usr/bin/spamd -L -x -u vpopmail -s stderr vpopmail 25418 25383 0 11:13 pts/100:00:00 spamd child vpopmail 25419 25383 0 11:13 pts/100:00:00 spamd child root 25485 24432 0 11:17 pts/100:00:00 grep spamd --- and the log in /var/qmail/supervise/spamd/log/run: #!/bin/sh LOGSIZE=`cat /var/qmail/control/logsize` LOGCOUNT=`cat /var/qmail/control/logcount` exec /usr/bin/setuidgid qmaill /usr/bin/multilog t s$LOGSIZE n$LOGCOUNT /var/log/qmail/spamd -- the logs in dir: /var/qmail/supervise/spamd/log/supervise are empty, only status has something encrypted same situation in: /var/qmail/supervise/spamd/supervise the logs in /var/log/qmail/spamd: are empty As the processes show above spamd seems to be started, but no outside mails arrive.
