You should do It in the DNS Server that has your domain zone (master).
Probably your own DNS Server (or is it just a cache server?)

The Toaster is running on a dedicated server with an isp. Do I have to put the
spf record in my server (I have BIND running) or is this something my isp needs
to do with his DNS server?

The following site allows you to test their SPF record
against the Email's domain - http://www.seoconsultants.com/tools/spf/

The server's address passes this test so they have probably
recently fixed there SPF record.

[qmailtoaster] QMT-ISO Squirrelmail path problem

2007-10-10 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I've installed QMT-ISO 1.31 I think it is, and the squirrelmail seems to be a
little broken. It doesn't want to see email in the Inbox even though it says
there is email in there.

This is a default installation. I've tried editing the
/etc/squirrelmail/config.php file to point to INBOX as I found in another
message but this still does not work.

Anyone else having this issue?

Mike

[qmailtoaster] maildrop.log file

2007-10-10 Thread Jake Vickers
In the next version of QTPlus, I am adding a script to put maildrop into
logrotate to (hopefully) stop the issue with people having the file grow
larger than 2G and stopping mail delivery. Here is the logrotate config
file I've written so far, but I wanted to check with everyone else to
see if there's anything I'm missing or that should be added in for
whatever reason. No, I have not tried this script yet - I'm not in a
position to make the change on any of my machines, and to be honest, my
maildrop.log files are ~8K after a year anyway. SO if you have an
idea or a way that it should be different, let me know!

Here's the config I've set up so far:

#
# Rotate maildrop's log file
#

/var/log/maildrop/maildrop.log {
   missingok
   nocompress
   create 600 vpopmail vchkpw
   postrotate
   endscript
}

The owner of publix.com doesn't want users sending mail that didn't go
through their mail servers, according to the way the MX record is
written.

This user is attempting to talk directly to your mail server and thus
getting rejected, as per the publix.com policy.

"v=spf1 mx a:mail.publix.com mx:mail.publix.com include:listrak.com -all"
