list that permits should be allocated to this:

in /home/.vpopmail ?

 auto-whitelist
 bayes_journal
 bayes.lock
bayes_seen
 bayes_toks
 pyzor

in local.cf ?

En español:
Que permisos debo asignar a estos archivos ?

Re: [qmailtoaster] Spamassassin Headers Problem

2008-05-04 Thread Roxanne Sandesara
Uninstalling and re-installing Simscan created the error message I
reported earlier, but showed no further errors in the qmlogs and did
not change the header report errors.

I uninstalled spamassassin, clamav, ripmime and simscan. Then re-
built and re-installed each of these in the original Toaster
installation order.

A test message sent from outside shows the proper long headers with
Spamassassin and clamav scan heaaders.

I thought it would be worth sending this in so that this exists in
the archives for anyone else who runs into this problem in the future.

I don't see any problems.
FYI, still the same status: not showing the header lines for the
Spamassassin actually scanning the message, though it does appear
that it must or should be scanning the message.

Should I uninstall and rebuild/re-install more than just simscan?

Yes, this can be done. This is outside of the scope of community (free
as in beer) support though. The commercial support group (presently Jake
and myself) will be happy to assist you with deploying such a
configuration if you need such help. If you're interested, please
contact either one of us directly.

Note, we're presently in the process of developing a formal commercial
support service (qmailtoaster.com).

Thank you for your support and understanding.

Hi,
It seems the server for qtp is down. I was planning to install this now

I do have one other question: is it possible to offload the scanning of
email (spam/virus) to a dedicated server? How would I best do that?

Cheers Eric, it was dsbl.org that's being a bit slow.

I'm using

James Palmer wrote:

Ah... apologies - I did use the QTP-install-spamdyke script. Wasn't
sure it disabled rblsmtpd or if I needed to do it manually.

After a bit of investigation the delay on SMTP seems to be because I
have 3 RBL's set in spamdyke.conf - if I disable them all it is
instant.

Cheers,

Hi all,

Just installed SpamDyke and now whenever I send an email via my

Any reason for this?

Yes, there always is a reason.

Also, now that SpamDyke is doing the RBL checks there is no need
for the
/var/qmail/control/blacklists file and I can remove the RBLs from
in

there to prevent double checking IPs?

You can, but I wouldn't do it that way. A better way to is to remove
"$RBLSMTPD $BLACKLIST" from the /var/qmail/supervise/smtp/run file.
That way
the rblsmtpd program doesn't run at all (a bit more efficient that
way).

I'm guessing you didn't use the qtp-install-spamdyke script. Maybe
you

should have? :(

If you post your spamdyke configuration file, your smtp run file,
and a

sample from your smtp log we might be able to help.
