Re: [qmailtoaster] Re: Autorespond doesn't work

2009-11-21 Thread Maloupi

Thank you so much Eric !!!
It was my rcpthosts that was not good... :-[

Everything seems to works well now thanks to this list !
Autoresponder seems to work too.
if i send an email to one of the user who use autorespond he at least
receive the mail :-)
i still didn't receive the answer of autorespond in my email box, the
message is still in queue.

Is it because qmail delay autorespond message, so i will receive it soon ?

Hey Dave,

This'll be a little tricky, but not too bad.

In short, you'll
.) migrate /boot to sdb1. This will free up the sda drive.
.) build (degraded) raid arrays, filesystems on sda
.) migrate sdb->sda
.) boot/run from sda (degraded)
.) create raid partitions on sdb
.) add sdb raid paritions into /dev/md? arrays

After doing the first step, you'll need to decide how your new system
will be partitioned. I usually create 2 raid arrays on each drive, one
100M for /boot and whatever's left I make a LVG (/boot cannot be in a
LV). Then I divvy up the logical volume. For QMT, I think I'd use:

/ - 8G
/tmp - 1G
/var - 2G
swap - 1-2 times RAM
/home - whatever's left

That should get you started. Holler as you have questions, and we'll do
what we can to help out.

Oh, and please take notes. You might want to write a how-to for the wiki
when you're done. ;)

You need to have
,NOP0FCHECK="1"
at the end of each line in the tcp.smtp file. Don't forget to
# qmailctl cdb
after changing this file.

Will you please change the wiki documentation to reflect this?

Your mailbox on the server is now more than 90% full. So that you can
continue

to receive mail you need to remove some messages from your mailbox.

I haven't seen this kind of quota warnings issued before. Also a
strange thing is that the user's quota is nowhere near full (it's
about 11%).

I checke and the quota warning message template is
~vpopmail/domains/.quotawarn.msg there.

If I remove it, will it disable these false alarms?

Or is there a way to configure the warning messages so, that they
actually are sent when user is near exceeding her quota?

Best,
Peter

Removing the file will cause no messages to be sent, regardless of quota
level.
Just out of curiosity, can you see what the user's actual disk usage is?
I know there have been some "bugs" with quotas in the past and am
wondering if it's not counting actual drive usage in vpopmail, but only
the inbox folders in Squirrelmail.
Hopefully the next release of vpopmail will resolve some of the bugs
with quotas.

Bad news: quotas are broken on QMT. I'm not sure to what extent. Easy
fix is to change their account to unlimited. :(

Good news: quotas work better in a more recent vpopmail release (5.4.28
I think) than what is in QMT. This is not a simple upgrade though, as I
think there is a small database change somewhere between QMT's version
(5.4.17) and 5.4.28.

Better news: quotas have reportedly been really fixed in vpopmail 5.5. I
will be working on packaging vpopmail-5.5 for QMT when it's available
(with LDAP), which I expect will be in the first quarter of '10.

List servers handle this sort of thing automatically. Have you
considered using ezmlm or mailman to handle these mailings?

The problem is in file /etc/clamav-unofficial-sigs.conf and variable

qmail-clam, something like silent_restart could help.

vpopmail 5.5 (in development) will support LDAP, and I plan on
implementing this when it's available. I don't know when it might be
available with the stock QMT though.

I would like to look into the possibility of interfacing directly with
AD once vpopmail 5.5 is available. I'm sure others would be interested
in this as well. Does anyone here have access to an AD server that can
be used for development/testing?

My tcp.smtp file looks like this :
[r...@ns24230 tcprules.d]# more tcp.smtp
127.:allow,RELAYCLIENT="",DKSIGN="/var/qmail/control/domainkeys/%/private"
:allow,BADMIMETYPE="",BADLOADERTYPE="M",CHKUSER_RCPTLIMIT="50",CHKUSER_WRONGRCPTLIMIT="10",DKSIGN="/var/qmail/control/domainkeys/%/private"

I see on the website that it should be like this :
127.:allow,RELAYCLIENT="",DKSIGN="/var/qmail/control/domainkeys/%/private"
:allow,BADMIMETYPE="",BADLOADERTYPE="M",\
CHKUSER_RCPTLIMIT="15",CHKUSER_WRONGRCPTLIMIT="3",\
DKVERIFY="DEGIJKfh",QMAILQUEUE="/var/qmail/bin/simscan",\
DKQUEUE="/var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue.orig",\
DKSIGN="/var/qmail/control/domainkeys/%/private"

What can i do ?

Should i copy the old one instead or do i have to run a command ?

Hi all !

I still didn't find a solution to my problem.
With autorespond, it's seems my qmail toaster is not working
properly (no logs of clamd and spamd)

so i think i will uninstall qmail toaster and reinstall it carefully.

So i'm asking you the good way to do it without loosing emails,
domains and users.

If i do : rpm -e `rpm -qa | grep -toaster`
And then reinstall qmt, will it delete emails, domains and users or
will everything remains ok ?
Or do i have to doa qtp-backup and qtp-restore ? (I will make a
backup anyway ;-) )

Thank you for your answers.

The installation scripts *shouldn't* delete any data, but I would
run the backup script to make sure you do not lose anything.
The backup script will make a backup copy of your
/home/vpopmail/domains dir (this is where your emails are stored)
and the mysql database as well as some other Qmail configuration
files. You may want to manually put some of this back in place to
make sure that you do not get a configuration file you are not
expecting.
