Someone else (Jake or others) might know better though. I've seen pipelining to check senders (or at least the existence of Postmaster accounts) but never really saw the benefits of this. Null senders are an RFC compliance thing. They're used for bounces. Hi Rajesh, If you are talking about the squirrelmail plugin to change passwords, that would not talk to the IMAP server as far as I recall. It would either use vpopmails command line tools to change the password or else write in the DB directly? In any case, while I am sure you can use an MAP server to check authentication (squirrel and horde can use that for login), I am not aware that IMAP offers a means to SET a password.
