Re: [qmailtoaster] x86_64 install

2010-07-27 Thread Igor Smitran

No, I do not have the same problem and this list runs on CentOS 5.5
 x86_64.
What do the logs show? Are you relaying mail?
qmail-dk has some bugs, and does not always work correctly. Are you sure
that the domainkeys files are in Unix format?
You may need to turn on recordio and log the session a little better and
post the logs here so we can review.

[qmailtoaster] Firewall block

2010-07-27 Thread Scott Hughes
Is there a way to block all of the apnic IP address blocks at one time?

I am seeing a lot of ssh attempts from China. Since I don't send or receive

of one net block at a time).

Any ideas?

I use a non standard port and that stops 99.99% of it. If you can't
do that there is a list out in the ether of IP's by nation and you can
put them in your iptables. You'll use whole subnets and not just
individual ips.

You can do what I've done. Build yourself a bridging firewall. Then set
iptables up in your bridging firewall to block any and all attempts to ssh
from outside your network.

This way you can do all kinds of cool stuff like packet filter out Viagra
and what ever else trips your trigger.

After that i have tried to send an email through squirrelmail and it got
signed and sent to remote host. So, it was my mistake, i wasn't using
right syntax in my telnet session, although i've used same sequence before
on other mail servers and it worked but i don't think that those other
servers had dksign.

I would disable qmail-dk. It has a few intermittent/inconsistent problems.
# cd /var/qmail/bin
# ln -sf qmail-queue.orig qmail-queue
I don't know for sure if restarting qmail would be required or not, but
it wouldn't hurt.

Actual 5.4.17 version of vpopmail in QMT is released 12-Jul-06, current
version is 5.5.0. I tried to compile Dovecot 2.0rc3 and found problem.
QMT vpopmail is to old. :(
IMO this package should bu upgraded.

And it will be upgraded, eventually. vpopmail 5.5.0 is pretty new, and a
substantial upgrade from 5.4.x. Would you like to help out getting 5.5
going with QMT? If so, please bring it up on the devel list.
