Yes, mysql is started.
I solved vpommail creating the database and the user vpopmail.
I then edited the file vpopmail.mysql.

clamad that is now not working.
I tried to send and receive email with virus test eicar but does not block
anything.

but this sceript QTP-newmodel work?

That's interesting (to me at least), George.

You should be aware that when upgrading vpopmail-toaster, there are 
dependencies which need to be rebuilt, and qtp-newmodel will select 
these packages automatically.

The qtp-newmodel script is historically quite reliable. There's always a 
possibility of a situation though that could reveal a problem. There's a 
lot of code involved with that (>3000 lines if my memory serves).

You really should install spamdyke, Guiseppe. It will not impact the 
availability of your server, and will *drastically* improve spam 
rejections, as well as reducing the load on your server.

Have you run "service qmail cdb" recently?
This needs to be run whenever the above 2 (and a few others) are changed.

You then need to restart qmail to activate it:
# service qmail restart


4) for configuration and change filters as you go along?


Simply edit the /etc/spamdyke/spamdyke.conf file to suit your needs. The 
default configuration is a good start, and shouldn't need much if any 
tailoring.


Once it's running, the
# qmlog -f smtp
command is handy to see what's going on. You'll see many spamdyke 
DENIED_ messages. That's a good thing, as spamdyke typically rejects 
about 90% (on average) of what comes in.

belonging to a particular domain that are configured to forward to
another account, and if this is possible - can you include the
address it is set to forward to?

One of our customers with 700 or so accounts is wanting do this, so
I thought I'd ask the list if anyone else has been able to.

I tried updating vpopmail-toaster and yes noticed those dependencies. It
looked like all went well but in the end the updates were not installed.
No errors in the build log either.

I could tell where they are inserted spam emails and how to release in the
event of a false positive?
