[qmailtoaster] strange duplicate mails

2007-10-08 Thread Hainarosie Razvan
Dear list,

I have updated my toaster with the stable packages.
Everything was fine, until some of the users send or received sometime duplicate
or X3, X4 mail.
Where shall I seek the problem.
I have enough RAM (all the time 50% is free).
I am not able to find a rule ..when are duplicate made and when they are not.

Thanks,
Razvan

[qmailtoaster] spf and domainkey settings in bind zone....newbie question probably

2007-01-24 Thread Hainarosie Razvan
Hi list,
I have bind and one of my client zone looks like that

$ORIGIN .
$TTL 3600
client.com IN SOA ns1.mydomain.com. support.mydomain.com (
10639xx ; serial
28800 ; refresh (8 hours) 7200
7200 ; retry (2 hours)
86400 ; expire (3 weeks) 1800
3600; minimum (1 day)
)
NS ns1.mydomain.com.
MX 5 mail.client.com.
$ORIGIN client.com.
IN A xx.xx.xxx.xxx
www IN A xx.xx.xxx.xxx
mailIN A xx.xx.xxx.xxx

Do you have a good tutorial for newbies like me of how to correct attach in the
bind zone file the spf and domainkey information?

Thanks to all.

Re: [qmailtoaster] multiple domains on one host

2006-11-23 Thread Hainarosie Razvan
What do you mean by "MX records that aren't set up quite right"?
I am using bind the domain aaa.com has its name servers as
ns1.itcompany.ro 82.76.xx.xx and ns2.itcompany.ro 82.76.yy.yy.

my bind record looks like

$ORIGIN .
$TTL 3600
aaa.com IN SOA ns1.itcompany.ro. razvan.itcompany.ro (
1063968821 ; serial
28800 ; refresh (8 hours) 7200
7200 ; retry (2 hours)
86400 ; expire (3 weeks) 1800
3600; minimum (1 day)
)
NS ns1.itcompany.ro.
MX 5 mail.aaa.com.
$ORIGIN aaa.com.
IN A 82.76.xx.xx
www IN A 82.76.xx.xx
mailIN A 82.76.xx.xx

Do you see something wrong here?
It is true that my server is named ares.itcompany.ro and not
mail.itcompany.rodo you think this could be the problem?

Thanks,
Razvan

[qmailtoaster] multiple domains on one host

2006-11-23 Thread Hainarosie Razvan
I have on my server several domains.
my server is mail.itcompany.ro
but I also have domain aaa.com and bbb.com

When some people send email on domain aaa.com (this peoples have McAfee
Webshield SMTP installed) the emails does not reach my server because
mail.aaa.com responds as mail.itcompany.ro.

Can you suggest something? What shall I do?

i had an issue where spam version did not update, maybe you can resolve your
issue with this.

stop qmail, then do a ps for any spamd/spamc/perl processes and kill them
rebuild spamassassin
rebuild cdb
start qmail.

[qmailtoaster] problems with spamassassin install.

2006-11-19 Thread Hainarosie Razvan
I am using Centos 4.4 and the latest stable package from qmailtoaster.

After installing everything simscan does not show in headers spammassasin
information, only clam is showed.

I have a problem with spamassassin.

It's indeed not processing any mail. It's much more meaningful though to
pipe the logs through tai64nlocal so that the date/time stamps are
meaningful:
# cat current | tai64nlocal
It appears that spamd is staying up though.

So, why isn't it receiving messages from simscan? I haven't a clue.

What do you get from:
# ps -ef | grep spamd

You should get something very similar to:
root 13355 13343 0 Nov08 pts/400:00:00 supervise spamd
qmaill 13370 13369 0 Nov08 pts/400:00:03 /usr/bin/multilog t s100
n100 /var/log/qmail/spamd
root 13394 13355 0 Nov08 pts/400:04:05 /usr/bin/perl -T -w
/usr/bin/spamd -x -u vpopmail -s stderr
vpopmail 30613 13394 0 Nov12 pts/400:00:48 spamd child
vpopmail 18472 13394 2 05:11 pts/400:07:27 spamd child
root 25266 13241 0 09:42 pts/400:00:00 grep spamd

Is there anything different here besides the PIDs and date/times?
I'm grasping at straws here.

even spam is up (alw, I did not modify /etc/mail/spamassasin. Is a fresh
install I have only one domain on it and 2 email accounts for test. Is
very strange.
My question maybe stupid but I can not figure out what is wrong.

[qmailtoaster] simscan clam and spamassasin please help

2006-11-12 Thread Hainarosie Razvan
I am using a fresh install of Centos 4.2 and the stable version of
qmailtoaster package.
The problem is with my mail headers that looks like this:

Received: from unknown (HELO mail.wavin.ro) (82.76.33.244)
by ares.itcompany.ro with (DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA encrypted) SMTP; 12 Nov

Received-SPF: none (ares.itcompany.ro: domain at wavin.ro does not
designate permitted sender hosts)
Received: (qmail 3068 invoked by uid 89); 12 Nov 2006 11:19:56 -
Received: by simscan 1.2.0 ppid: 3060, pid: 3063, t: 0.2296s
 scanners: attach: 1.2.0 clamav: 0.88.5/m:41/d:2186
Received: from unknown (HELO raluca) ([EMAIL PROTECTED]@192.168.10.100)

Why I can not find "spam" at the "scanners: attach: 1.2.0 clamav:

[qmailtoaster] problems with simscan on fedora 4

2006-01-29 Thread Hainarosie Razvan
Hy list,
I'm new at qmailtoaster.
My distribution is Fedora Core 4.
I have everything updated so my setup using current-install-sctipt (I have
modify inside my distribution) works just fine with no errors.
The problems is that when I look in my email headers I am not able to find
the simscan, clam and spam etc..
I test the email with eicar virus test and my mails are not filtered by
clam and spam.
Can you give me some clues, please.
I am able to start or stop manualy clam.
I think is something to do with simscan.
I did "/var/qmail/bin/simscanmk -g", but the problem was not solved.

Thanks,
Razvan
