Hello list,

If anyone has upgraded qmail lately, especially those of you who
DO NOT use domainkeys and those who DO use dkim, remember that an
upgrade overwrites the qmail binaries (/var/qmail/bin). This
could affect domainkeys, which you really shouldn't use anymore
IMHO, and DKIM signing.

1) Domainkeys: If you DON'T use domainkeys and you've upgrade you
might have to unlink qmail-queue from qmail-dk and link (ln -s)
it to qmail-queue.orig. Another approach is to simply change
QMAILQUEUE in /etc/tcprules.d/tcp.smtp (below).

QMAILQUEUE="/var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue.orig"

2) DKIM: On upgrade the perl script 'qmail-remote' which calls
'qmail-remote.orig', will be overwritten...run the following commands

# wget -O /var/qmail/bin/qmail-remote
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/qmtoaster/dkim/master/qmail-remote
<https://raw.githubusercontent.com/qmtoaster/dkim/master/qmail-remote>

# chown root:qmail /var/qmail/bin/qmail-remote

# chmod 777 /var/qmail/bin/qmail-remote

Sorry about the inconvenience.

Comments and suggestions please!

Doing a little research says that it's often resolved by installing

anything else cause this error?

Also, why is qmail even trying to do a CNAME lookup when the MX

OK, for spacewalk :

https://www.redhat.com/archives/spacewalk-list/2015-February/msg00089.html

2) Filter the conflicting packages out of the base/other channels. This works
well. The filter is used when the repository is sync'ed from it's external
sources. So, if the conflicting packages are already in Spacewalk, you'll need
to add the filter and
then remove the packages from spacewalk. The filters option is on the
Repository Details page under Manage Software Repositories.

Re: [qmailtoaster] Dovecot, dsync

2016-12-07 Thread Havrla

Hi,

It would be a demand for such a configuration?

What it brings good:
Dovecot-based replication, including replication id messages.
After switching to the backup server accepts the message ID is then not
problem with IMAP and POP3 (re-download all the messages, the problem
with indexes etc ..)

What it wants:
1. Dovecot configuration - user and passwd SQL backend module
2. Vpopmail doing what domain's table. SQL module wants everything in
one table, it will have to make a special database or table where
everything will be. About using shovels (select tables exist and save a
single table)

3. Configure the replication in Dovecot

Why? Because:
https://www.darkalchemist.co.uk/2014/05/31/dovecot-dsync-replication/
"doveadm user '*' "should return a sheet of all the users dovecot hosts.
configure as |iterate_query = SELECT email as user FROM mail_user
|Module vpopmail in dovecot not function for all users, module no SQL:
[root@franta ~]# doveadm user '*'
Error: User listing returned failure
Fatal: user listing failed
[root@franta ~]# doveadm user zde...@havrlik.cz
field value
uid 89
gid 89
home/home/vpopmail/domains/havrlik.cz/zdenek
mail

Perhaps, otherwise specify a list of users. SQL only select
"iterate_query" not passwd and user.

Shall I try it ?

downgrading vpopmail solved qmailadmin's catch-all account break
 <http://notes.sagredo.eu/comment/524#comment-524>

Submitted by roberto puzzanghera on Fri, 10/03/2014 - 18:42.

Dear all,

after some testing I found out that it works when downgrading vpopmail
to v. 5.4.32 and qmailadmin to 1.2.15.

I also noticed that the compilation of qmailadmin breaks when compiling
1.2.16 over vpopmail 5.4.32, or 1.2.15 over vpopmail 5.4.33.

Summarizing:

 * qmailadmin 1.2.16 goes with vpopmail-5.4.33, but this option seems
to have the catch-all accounts functionality broken
 * qmailadmin 1.2.15 only goes with vpopmail-5.4.32

those emails . If inbox emails we could make forward option to create

that. The main problem is Sent items.
In blackberry server have one option autobcc if any one sent emails

If possible to make similar function in server for particular users.
Then we would recover those sent items emails.

Please share your thoughts and solution.

As per your advise if i use rsync option it will backup all emails

Do i need to restore any email account from rsync backup drive.

Re: [qmailtoaster] How to protect sent items email and Trash folder from users

2015-09-25 Thread Havrla

New files is not a problem. Rsync recognize a file change and is not
copied when copying (error 24). Even if copied so that's okay, because
other running repairs the file.
Rsync default does not delete files in the target directory so that
files accumulate and there is a backup of everything that has been saved.

Yes, it vznitknout mess. So that the file is moved from /new to / cur,
and rsync he copied 2x there and there, or name changes.

However, the deposit is done at night when decent people are sleeping.
And even if the file in the backup 3x, it's better than 0x.

Later it restores only /cur or as needed.

Dne 25.9.2015 17:32, Dan McAllister napsal(a):
OK, so you're in luck in that your mail folders aren't available for
"general" read/write access.

You can use the ACL capability to make the folders "append only"
(chattr +a /path/to/folder)
This will allow new messages to be added (new files created), but will
disallow any files to be removed (deleted messages = deleted files).
Now the BAD news is that I think this would also prevent IMAP from
marking files as READ or SET FOR DELETION or any other change.
I would certainly be interested to see the results of some testing on
this.

I'm sorry my English is not good.

I have QMT since 2003, actually 2015 - 2003 = 12 years. That's a long time.

I would be very unhappy if the project did not continue

Website of the project seem dead. the only living thing is email-list. I
was so unhappy after new information on the continuation and CentOS7, so
I volunteered email-list. Information gained and QMT on CentOS7
comfortably installed, without compiling, without complications. I
configured a pr(emigroval old QMT. It works. I'm happy.
Plenty of other administrators would be happy if the project and website
relaunched and updated.

I can provide mirror web hosting for the web. I fear the end of QMT

I have control of the DNS, so if we want to move anything we can --

that was an automated transaction. I am already listed on the

there.

There are likely also "accounts" (git?) that may need to be "recovered".

Never the less, it is time to regain some direction and progress ...
so, I will try again to reach Eric. I am not comfortable just
"taking" the project from him, but agree that there are many changes
and updates that need to be incorporated. (Not the least of which is

I have the expertise to take "ownership" of the project, but not

Edwin,

IMHO, yes, CentOS 6 is stable. I'm using it in production. I think it
would be a good idea to add it to the wiki.

However, I'm not sure of the wiki's status. Someone's paying for the
domain name, I'm not sure who that is or how long he/she will be doing so.

We currently have:

  CentOS

CentOS 5, i386 & x86_64

CentOS 5 QmailToaster Install
<http://wiki.qmailtoaster.com/index.php/CentOS_5_QmailToaster_Install>

+

Is it now acceptable for most to say that the CentOS 6 install method
is stable?

Best wishes,

Now convert Qmail to systemd is a very big change in architecture.
Plenty administrators must accept the change, moreover, there are more
changes in QT Centos7. It is not good to do a lot of changes at once,
unless it is unavoidable.
Convert, why not start-stop systemctl, and cdb, doqueue ... do skrypt
tool, but I would recommend up to CentOS8

thank you

And, as I looked into systemd and understand it a conversion to

(daemontools) would simply be called by systemd as in this example.

Yes rpm package from ./qt_install.sh use
ftp://ftp.whitehorsetc.com/pub/qmail/CentOS7/qmt/rpms and update.

IP 94.143.169.37 - An IP address is mine.

You have done a tremendous job. :-)
I'm used to install QT fashioned way, compile the origin of the package

It is now uncomfortable, untenable, so I used whitehorsetc.

Is this ip address you:

I'd like to know because, there is a person who has asked me the
