[qmailtoaster] Relay - 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts

2006-06-09 Thread Kaven Gagnon
Hi,
I just finish my new QmailToaster setup a got a problem that I never had
before. If users try to send mail to local domains, it work but if they try
to send outside, they receive this message: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in
my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.5.3 - chkuser).

How to make it working without leaving qmail open relay?

Thanks a lot.

Regards,
Kaven G.

It shouldn't be an open relay out of the box. It's set up to not be one.
Did you get the uid/gid problem fixed? I don't want to try and look at
another issue while the first is unresolved.
What IP do your clients come from? If you're using Nick's firewall, it
blocks users from private IPs.

Hi,
Yes, my first issue was caused by corrupted package! I download
packages again and do a fresh install.

It's ok about my relay problem, i'm not using the Nick's firewall
but it was a syntax error in my iptables script! (Sorry, my mind is
slowing down after two days without sleeping! A lot of mail migration to
do!)

I got another question... about attachments; sometime it said 554
invalid message content (#5.3.2). The attachment was a simple
Microsoft Word document, I try to send another document and everything goes
fine... any idea about this?

Thanks a lot for you're help.

Regards,
Kaven G.

I get this from time to time myself. The document fails a signature in
either badmimetypes and badloadertypes. Check those signatures against
your file, and comment out the one giving you a false positive, then
rebuild their respective cdb's.
