RE: [qmailtoaster] Skipping DNS checks
Benny, You could also run a caching nameserver on your toaster. djbdns comes as an option with the distribution nowadays. Nick Hemmesch wrote a script that installs it for you, available at: http://wiki.qmailtoaster.com/index.php/Djbdns-localcache-install.sh_scri pt You may have to change the DISTRO, ARCH, and BDIR variables to suit your flavor. The script takes for granted that the SRPM is in the directory that you run the script from. Although this will not solve the problem of sending mail to remote (unknown) domains when your DNS forwarder is unavailable, your local domain DNS lookups will work flawlessly once the value is cached. [qmailtoaster] Skipping DNS checks
Hi list, My QmailToaster server performs DNS checks even for local deliveries of mails, thus when link to DNS server is disconnected mails are not delivered within same domain (server). How can I skip DNS checks for local host/domain? Benny. Fussy? Opinionated? Impossible to please? Perfect.
