I'm looking @ my toaster and there is not 587 listening? Is there something I have to enable to get it to listen on that port? Thanks Look under /var/qmail/supervise/ at see if you have the submission dir , then cd on it and try to execute the run script manually, then look at the messages the script gives you. Try also a telnet on port 587 to see if the run script correctly start up the service . Of course if the submission does not exists , then all the things i wrote should be skipped. Generally speaking the submission service is up by default in the latest toaster . Hope this can help. - QmailToaster hosted by: VR Hosted http://www.vr.org - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Re: [qmailtoaster] SpamHaus Issues
This post and the suggestions that followed turned out to be a real lucky coincidence. I had recently set up via the QMT iso 1.3 a mail-server for a old school mate of mine. The setup went off fine. The only problem being that those in the organisation using wireless based internet access services, known out here in India as 'data cards' that pick up a dynamic ip were unable to send mail from their client-mail applications cause the blacklist control prevented onward delivery Server: 'mail.xxx.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '451 http://dsbl.org/listing?220.226.55.234', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 451, Error Number: 0x800CCC79 I was lost as to how to solve the problem and as a desperate measure did so by clearing /var/qmail/control/blacklist. But now after seeing this I am happy to say that I have restored the blacklist and am getting the client-mail applications configured to send mail via the submission port (587). The mail-client is configured to authenticate to the server. Thanks list. Is there a way to disable spamhaus checking on outgoing email or once people have authenticated? You can use the submission port. Configure your client to use port 587 and smtp auth. Natalio

Re: [qmailtoaster] SpamHaus Issues
Another solution is to use spamdyke for the RBL checks. It will bypass the RBL filters (and all its other filters) for authenticated senders. -- Sam Clippinger Davide Bozzelli wrote: Ronnie Tartar ha scritto: I am having problems with a friend running qmail toaster, only with outlook express from remote location.
