Re: [qmailtoaster] check for mail from email address

2009-09-03 Thread Rajesh M
hi

thanks for the reply.

i read thru the empf help files but not sure as to how i can use the same

basically my problem is as such

my customer's office pc got compromised and it was shooting out spam emails

the spammer was authenticating using my customer's email id and password
but his "from email id" was : anyth...@yahoo.com ... anyth...@hotmail.com
and so on and sending to a variety of external email ids ... and since
authentication was correct qmail was accepting emails.

so what i need to do is to ensure that only if the from email id is
u...@somedomain_on_my_server.com (domain part) should the email be
accepted after smtp authentication

now how should i accomplish this using empf if say my sample domain on my
server is

abc.com
pqr.com

how will i ensure that the "mail from email id" should be only
u...@abc.com or u...@pqr.com who can send to any user on any server
globally.

thanks
rajesh

This is possible with the eMPF patch which is included with the Toaster.
