Re: [QUAD-L] new chair
I'm glad you enjoy it. If the paint looks violet, that's because they gave you purple. When I ordered my Invacare years ago I wanted purple and it came in violet and that's what they said was purple. I've been working with my new chair for a month now and even though I'm still having problems, I am slowly getting used to the differences. Its been a hard time for me to learn how to use Magitek effectively with the Permobile. Actually I don't think I'm real effective yet, but I am getting better. Changing from the Peachtree to Magitek has been a heck of a change. I really wish I could just get in a new chair and drive away without any difficulties, but that's not the way it is for me. Re: [QUAD-L] Diabetic
Yes, when I first got injured they said the injury threw my body into shock and out of whack from the trauma and gave me insulin during the initial stages of injury---then later it cleared up and was normal for years, then about 3 or 4 years ago.. while being treated for a uti they told me I was diabetic and would need medicine, so from then on I have to take the pills for it twice a day...I hope it never progresses to the shots. Re: [QUAD-L] Chair Repair
Hi Gregg, Sorry to read of your issue and yes it sounds like you pop'd a circuit breaker or fuse. That can happen when something protected is forced for any reason. As a chair owner, you should know or be made aware of any place on your chair of electrical protection, such as a circuit breaker or fuse. Because I don't know the brand of your personal equipment.. it is difficult to offer further advice or suggestions other then to call the Provider of your chair. I was getting in my van and went in at an angle, I got wedged in between the ramp and back seat. I was going forward and back trying to free myself and it just stopped. No power at all. I checked the batteries as well as we could and it all looked fine. Everything looks normal. I don’t know about fuses or a reset button. It could be the joystick. When it’s off the recline buttons don’t work at all. At least I have a backup chair. Always a weekend too. Greg
