And if it proves to be that door micro-switch. Make sure your dealer places 
 YOUR finger on it so you can feel it in action as well as where it is  
located.

when emergency  conditions persist, one has to look n see it it applies to 
them.  Nothing  like being stuck on the open road or in a parking lot during a 
snow n ice  storm and the ramp won't lift and door not closing.

knowing Year, Make, Model and  type of IMS Conversion.
It sounds like you oughta take it to your closest  mobility dealer for 
repair and preventative service check up. Yes, I do work  for a mobility dealer 
and yes, I'm a quad but I don't take my watch to a  plumber for repair 
either. Have it looked at always before the severe  seasons. Also, there are 
some 
IMS units that Braun doesn't support. Send me  the VIN and I'll confirm it 
for you.

towards the rear  panel.  The is an rectangle opening for the door side 
cable  slide.  Tucked in the back of the opening about 1-2 inches is the micro  
switch, with a tiny nipple on it.  Its metal and travels in and out,  
except when its frozen when it sticks closed.  The nice thing about it  today 
is 
all new vans have a similar micro switch with a boot the covers the  nipple 
and prevents icing.  Braun/IMS, does not provide the new switch  for the 
older applications.  Shame, eh?

i replace the door contacts regularly because i live on a dirt road that
causes them to wear. do you know where this switch is located? is it on the
door because there is a black rubber thing around the pillars but it wears
